GO CANON POWERSHOT A520!!!

I'm almost to the point where I can get back to my apartment. This may not be as photo-filled as I would like it to be, nor is it a very valid explanation of where I've been for the past month. But I will try, in my own way, to give the most succinct description of my time since being at home.

It started after the two-day excursion at my place. Anyone who went knows exactly what I mean. Good times, though I think that Phill must loathe me now; He hasn't contacted me since before Christmas. *shrug*

Being home has been strange: a mixture of hatred and fear, and of the overt sprinkling of Christmas Cheer upon my house and family. For example, I hadn't been to church in well over a year. Where last year I ditched midnight mass to take shots of tequila with James' dad, this year I went with my family, took communion, and for the first time ever, I drank from the communal cup. (note: the wine is not as good as I thought it would be. Jesus's blood tastes old.) I cried at communion. I cried because of loneliness and happiness kinda sifted together. I basically came to the realization that my family, however small, weird, and angry they are... are still my family. While it might grow, while it might lessen, we'll still be around. And that's pretty fucking sweet.

Next there comes the matter of Christmas presents. I'm not going to lie, I'm going to have to say that my favorite one thus far (and that probably won't change) is my digital camera. I have a Canon PowerShot A520. The following picture is not from that camera, but it is from Reid's PDA. I don't claim to remember any of this, but that definitely looks like my upstairs bathroom, I'm in a catsuit, and Rob is wearing a vintage dress of mine.
... wtf?

The camera is quite possibly the best gift I've ever received, bar none. I before E except after c. :sigh:

So anyway... I'll toss a few of the ones I've taken with it, detailing some of the events of my Winter break. You don't need to hear any more bitching.

(the following shots WERE taken with the New Canon, my baby. I call it "Clicks." )

Cedric at the Blimpie's with me after one of the neatest nights ever, I'll talk more about it later.

Dan, later that night, and in an entirely different part of Chicago than Cedric lived in: this is the Fireside Lounge, not to be confused with the Fireside Bowl. They have excellent cajun fish dishes. I had catfish ^_^

2 of "my kids," Bri and Matt at Janelle's New Year's Party ^_^

Me and this guy named Pete: he wasn't going to be in the pic, but he kinda butted in. This was the whole atmosphere of that night.

Janelle and I the next morning. I texted her with, "Janelle, where my bitches at?" and we laughed thoroughly. There is more than one reason Janelle is "My favorite" child... ^_^

(I really gotta stop that ^_^)

Here is Liz being all pretty like at the Lucky Platter only last night - in Evanston, a restaurant suggested by Matt, I ate the best salad ever there. Sadly, I deleted the only picture of the salad that I had, so I can't prove it.

The awesome job Liz did at capturing me sipping soda, you rock, Liz.

Later, at Kafeine where Liz and I had the worst waitress imaginable.

and even further later, post Liz, yet in her town - at the Denny's, doesn't Andrew's hair look horrendous???!?

Yeah whatever, I still look cute :P

Anyway I really have to fucking blow this POP stand.
now.

But I will actually tell the stories later on. I promise :D

Amen
