Been helping out at float, and by "helping out" I mean I am present. Heheh, not the best kind of contribution, but whatevs. People left really early yesterday though, and it got boring kind of fast, went to help Vinna w. painting for Matric instead. Matric!! Can't believe school is going to start again so soon, really really not looking forward to that. But I guess Matric will be the last event before work comes flooding in again, so should probably try to have fun nonetheless. Don't know if
youpinkypromise is still going to update me on Phuket (stop ignoring me plssss) so tentatively also making Matric plans :P
Left float earlyish yesterday to have dinner with Natxzx at Newton Food Centre, we jaywalked TO THE MAX to get to Newton from where we were, being the epic traffic liabilities we were. Oh and Nat was fiddling with my iPhone half the time, I cannot believe that I "don't have enough games" when I have like 3.3 gbs worth of apps. How many iPhone games must one have to achieve recognition? :'( Ate Char Kway Teow at Newton while waiting for
coeurdeninja and Clarissa to show up with their exchange buddies! They brought damn a lot though, apparently the other SG exchange people left their buddies with the two, so they had a handful. Ron and Suvinee from Aussie, Jack and Matthew from Ireland and Dhruv from the UK!
I find it quite fun to explain Singapore to foreigners/people on exchange! Can talk endlessly about drug laws/chewing gum/Merlion and basically whatever it is that they find intriguing about the country. (We taught them how to use bojio hahahahahaha) Always fun to see what kind of preconceptions they come with. Most of them agree that SG is probably the safest country in SEAsia to stay in though, and they're all great foodies.
coeurdeninja and Clarissa ordered heaps of local food for them like Stingray and Kway Teow and Ice Kachang and it was quite amusing to see them have a go at chicken rice as well. Invited them to drop by to look at float also because the three of us will be in school today. After that, took 151 back with them.
coeurdeninja and Clarissa were very responsible buddies, took with them all the way to BTC and then went home in the other direction afterwards. For me it was just the same direction, so :P
Going to meet the rest of the freshies at float today, appears that Haziq has forced convinced the new matric people to show up early, so there will be a few new faces today at least (if they show up) so I guess there will be people to talk to today :P Really no idea what I'm doing up so early though, trying to REPAIR MY SLEEP CYCLE, which is a mission I embarked on quite early in the holidays. Now school's starting and I'm still a zombie, vvvv bad. At least I'm updating my LJ though, wish there were more travel photos to post, rly miss Taiwan T_T
