(no subject)
Things have been crappy as of late, but I'm doing okay nonetheless.
I've been a fan of Gloria Estefan since I was about 4 or 5 and I made her a card when she got in that bus accident and broke her back. Her music and her strength helped me through being diagnosed with diabetes, and yet again after my grandfather's suicide. I never thought I was going to get to see her; especially when I had heard that she wasn't going to be touring anymore. Well, last Friday was my birthday, and as it turned out, Gloria was doing a charity concert that night at the Seminole Hard Rock, and my mom managed to get me tickets. I can't describe how happy that made me. I even got a little teary when the music and such first started. I guess I just couldn't believe that I was there. Man, I am such a dork =D I'm just glad that they weren't selling any merchandise, because I didn't have any money.
I also happen to have an Xbox 360 now and I am steadily accumulating a collection of used games thanks to eBay and Gamestop. I just need to make more friends on there. Especially so I can get that one achievement on Fable 2. That and I need Microsoft points so I can get a few downloads. I need to invest in a larger hard drive for the poor thing, too. I think I'm overwhelming it. ^^;
My blood sugar isn't under control yet, but my stomach is doing a lot better. I'm not vomiting nearly as much anymore. I just need to get a bit stronger (not working for almost a year and being stuck at home and in bed really weakened me) and maybe I can start working again at the beginning of 2009. Or if I am lucky, maybe for the holidays this year. I really need money badly. I have a hole in one of my front teeth that is getting pretty deep and it hurts a lot. My teeth are already really sensitive to cold, and my gums bleed all of the time. Bah, diabetes sucks, it does. Speaking of which, my vision is getting a bit worse. I noticed as I was playing on my DS that I'm having a bit of trouble reading the text. It's like it is slightly out of focus or something. Almost like I just woke up and tried to read something without rubbing my eyes or something.
Well, I guess that's my update. I can't remember if I wanted to mention anything else. Stupid memory.
