miscommunication romance

I just had an awesome day today. Steve will come over later, but we were just talking on the phone and he told me something hilarious!
It had to do with Ali, a lovely lady, and Gord, her apparently former ex-lover.
Steve and I happened upon Ali last night. She was hurrying onto the last bus so there was no time for explaining. I just told her what we were up to being downtown and I said we had just eaten supper at the Old Spaghetti Factory for mothers day. What I meant was, with Steve's mom and sisters. Ali looked at me strange and said, "Mothers day?" I thought she was confused because she had forgotten it was mothers day, so I said "yeah, it's today!" She was on the bus now and the last face I saw was one of confusion.

Gord and Ali, who were together when I met them but broke up since, both came in to visit Steve at work today, this is what he just tells me on the phone right now. Apparently I had been rubbing my belly when I said mothers day, and Ali thought I was pregnant! They both came in to congratulate Steve, and apparently they are now back together. Cute, and hilarious misunderstanding!

Going in to vote tomorrow. I typically vote for who the Conservation Voters endorse, mostly because I trust them in terms of issues that are most important to me, and they tend to endorse similar beliefs to my own.
The Conservation Voters are really cool because they are non-partisan, meaning they will endorse someone regardless of political party if they are environmentally-minded.

My, it sure is gusting outside! The living room in my house has just been transfered upstairs, and two girls are moving in and sharing the big former-livingroom downstairs. They have three cats, and a LOT of stuff. Their stuff is everywhere! So our house is in a bit of a rustled state right now, but that is all right.

Ha ha, Gord and Ali.. can't believe that chain of events.
When Steve finally found out what they were talking about, he said "Rachel rubs her belly all the time!" and Ali said "I know that now".

I am exhausted. Bed now.. work at 6:30 am.
