have you tried writing to football clubs for signed shirts to auction, the clubs are quite good with charities, although they do have a limit of how many they can give away.
Sportsman's dinners are big over here, Race nights are fun and encourage people to spend lots of money.
If you are looking for donations give torielle the details and I'll chip in. Good luck, you must be a saint.

I don't know about a saint but thanks for your support :)
Thanks for your suggestions they were good. Some of my neighbour whated to help so the organised a social night (i.e. a piss up for a good cause) and we aslo held an art auction we a local art group (one of the members is coming with us) which was also a piss up.
I think the leaders in the group were going on a piss up.... eh i mean race night.
God any excuse to drink!
I wish we had thought to get a signed jersey. Ah well we'll use that one again.
We did write to O'Neills (they make gaelic footballs) are they are donating 5 of them to us. Which is excellent as they cost a good it and are hard wearing so will last.
I know you're still over in Zambia, but I just wanted to drop you a line. Missing you over here!! Really! When you get back, you, me and AJ will have to have another 3-way convo on MSN. It'll be good for a laugh and we've all got so muich to talk about.
Well, now I have to go and dothe housework, more's the pity, so I'll speak to you when you get back, k?
