I used to be afraid of even pictures of the wee beasties. Now I can reasonably kill all but the largest spiders and centipedes.

Sky blue, but they aren't bright. There's a small ring of gold around each pupil, and some grey threads.

Apparently I can, but I'm getting effing sick of her crap. If she doesn't have the time she claims not to have, then why does she spend so much of it monitoring everyone else like a KGB backstabbing operative?

History -- because if you don't know people, you're pretty much screwed. Rhetoric -- of all social skills, it's the one you'll use most. Applications are endless.

Something by Octavia Butler. Her books are nice and short, so you can do it even with ADD.
