I really want to rant about the absurdity of French bureaucracy, but I'll just leave it at this: last night I had to fly up to San Francisco to get my visa this morning because at the last minute the LA consulate decided it couldn't process visas until, and I quote, "we don't know, we just don't know."
I am glad it's over, tired from the trip, a bit anxious/nervous about moving, and relatively incoherent right now, so I'm done for the night.
