(no subject)
Lately I've been wondering what to do with my life, and I think I'm fairly certain that becoming a maid is not in my future. Those of you who've seen our house can clearly attest to that.
Some things that have been happening recently:
Mom started chemo yesterday. Everything was fine, and she's feeling good. There's a chance she might lose her hair, and if that happens, there might be a bit of a problem, because I was severely traumatized when it happened the first time. And I know that's a ridiculously selfish thing to say considering what my mom's going through, but seriously, I'm not ok with that.
I just got my "lettre d'attestation" for my teaching thing. They've assigned me to two schools outside of Paris, teaching the French equivalent of middle schoolers English. I'm still debating whether to take it or not because apparently it'll take me about an hour to get there on like four different trains, so I won't even really have any time to work. But it's steady money at least, and it's good on a resume, so we'll see. I have to decide pretty much now if I want to do it or not.
I think when I go, I'm going to start a new blog that's a little more public and more themed. It'll be kind of like a social experiment, not that it's a completely original idea, but since everyone lately is starting to think they have a right to write their opinions on whatever's happening in the world and that people will actually read them, why the hell not? At least I can do it in more than one language.
