Half-Baked Political Rantings

I don't think Martha Coakley is going to win.

I mean, I want her to win. If she loses, healthcare reform will probably end up a disaster. But, as far as I'm concerned, a vote for Coakley is a vote for Obama and healthcare reform. Her campaign was so full of gaffes, I'd be shocked if she persuaded anyone to vote for her.

Something that's been bothering me today; something I heard amid the coverage of today's election: the people of MA won't vote for Coakley because she'd be a vital vote for healthcare reform - they already HAVE government funded healthcare.

Um, wat?

This is to suggest that the people of Massachusetts don't care about the welfare of people in the other 49 states. "Who cares about your helthcare, or lack thereof? I already have guaranteed healthcare. >:P"

Granted, that's not the only reason that's been given. It just raised my BULLSHIT flag.

Brown has been trending as the leader in the recent polls, though. It'd be a shame if he won - for a lot of reasons. I'd really hate to see a Democratic Marathon seat, Teddy Kennedy's old seat go to a empty-headed, polished, Cheney republican.

(These rantings always sound better and more thought out in my head. Sorry about that, guys.)

Before the results are in, I wanna ask: Who do you think will win the MA Senate race?

rantings, wat, politiks
