Once upon a time, there was a girl in HP fandom who wrote Harry/Draco, and who was thought to be a boy by pretty much everyone, until she wasn't. And then there was wank. Girl was pretty much ousted from fandom, as fandom sometimes gets its oust on.
However, people were just angry. She'd fooled them! How dare she? How could ANYONE be so deceitful? Guys, if you can't see the humor in people being pissed off because someone LIED on the INTERNET then you are on crack -- a whole shit-load of crazy crack.
I digress....
This girl wrote some pretty dark fan-fiction, and I'm talking back in the day, like, 2002. Her stories were readable, but generally absurdist and kind of violent. Thinking about them now, I'm realizing that she was probably a really big Poppy Z. Brite fan. Anyway, before I wrote HP fan-fiction (because I did, and it was bad), we used to RP on AOL. Seriously guys, this was back in the day, remember? We had these serious, long, role-playing sessions that were generally hyper-sexual and weird. There was rape and whatever. She also had a website. I don't think that livejournal was quite the thing then that it is now. People used YAHOO GROUPS WTF and AIM and OMG.
But yeah, She used to send me packages in the mail. I'm pretty sure she was in her late teens, wore a lot of Hot Topic clothing marketed toward "goth" kids, and lived in a trailer somewhere in Washington state. She was, to say the very least, not a teenage boy who wrote Harry/Draco fan-fiction.
There has been so much wank in HP fandom, dudes. Like, SO much wank. The fandom wankipedia for Harry Potter is a multi-linked piece of bullshit. But that is not the point. The point is this: what the fuck was this girl's name? I should KNOW this and I cannot fucking remember her name, or what her pen-name was, or anything. Do any of you guys even remember this wank? I feel like you should, addictedkitten, or possibly you, dreadfulrauw. I spent like, an hour telling my stupid boyfriend about it in the car, and then the conversation degenerated into a discussion about whether or not 14 year-old girls role-playing gay wizard boys is sexy or creepy.
