Last week I brought you some pretty awesome
South Park fanart. This week I bring you my new obsession: 4chumblr! Don't know what 4chumblr is? Why! It's the ship name for 4chan/Tumblr. That's right: 4CHAN/TUMBLR. If you aren't up on internetz bullshit, then you might not know that 4Chan and Tumblr have been having a charming sort of war. Which is to say that 4Chan "invaded" Tumblr and then Tumblr "fought back" in a way that SHOCKED AND ASTOUNDED 4Chan. In other words: everyone loves cats and porn.
This is kind of old news by internet standards, but I still find it really interesting and charming that a)
NPR reported on this feud and b) people started producing fan art. Here, have a sampling, and no, you don't get a livejournal cut. Sorry.
4Chan is pretty much always represented as a green slenderman, because it's hard to draw anon.
The "story arc" is that anon used to ignore tumblr-chan, but then she finally got his attention. Tumblr is always represented as a sort of cute anime inspired hipster chick, a la (500) Days of Summer.
Unsurprisingly, they do it.
Some fan artists have gone so far as to sketch Moot and Tumblr's founder David Karp about to make-out.
Which isn't terribly shocking....
Because they're both pretty cute dudes, by internet standards.
Anyway, that's what I have to tell you about today. If you have weird anthromorphized fan-art of internet websites or social media outlets you should share them in the comments.
