It's been a while... But as they say in Spain, "más vale tarde que nunca" (better late than never). Heaps of things happened: my trip to Incheon and Seoul in December/January, followed by the trip that I've dreamed of perhaps since childhood. I've been to Melbourne before, but this time I went for the Australian Open - grand slam tournament. I've seen so many players: Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Jo-Winfred Tsonga, Andy Roddick, Novak Djokovic aka Nole, Fernando Verdasco, etc. Among women: Serena Williams, Dinara Safina, Elena Dementieva (I've met her in Auckland before), Vera Zvonareva (I met her last year here in Auckland), Victoria Azarenka, Alize Cornet, Carla Suarez Navarro, Francesca Schiavone, Jelena Dokic and others. Even though a lot of players had to withdraw in the middle of the matches due to the extreme heat, I was still able to see what I wanted. Great technique and nice shots! And even though I'm not a professional player myself, tennis is something I cannot live without. It's a big passion of mine and will always be.
I was supposed to go to Adelaide for Easter, but I had to cancel. I found out that my auntie (my dad's cousin) now lives there with kids. Her hubby is still in Korea, but they moved to OZ for the sake of a better life and education. Fair enough, whatever is best for the family. Maybe in December, cause I haven't been to this state yet and I may combine this visit with my trip to Great Barrier Reef. It's an absolute must! I'm not sure if I want to go to Airs Rock (not sure if it's correct) in the place called Uluru. Heaps of tourists go there in December, and then it's gonna be overcrowded. So I'm not really sure, maybe I'll just do Adelaide, Great Barrier Reef and Gold Coast/Brisbane.
Anyways, instead I spent a nice break in Coromandel. My friend Katrin and I rented out a car and went there for 3 days. Guys, let me tell ya - Cathedral Cove, Hot Water Beach and New Chum's Beach rock! Nothing could top those spots, even Whangamata and Waihi seemed less attractive. But now I'm looking forward for August, it's gonna be very special. Not gonna reveal it here. All I can say - dreams DO come true. And it's such a great feeling of getting what you want. No matter for how many years you've been thinking about it. People say the itinerary is great. So I'm very excited about this upcoming trip.
On the 16th of May I'm sitting an exam - DELF (A2). Keep your fingers crossed for me. I also attend a 2-week conversation course and enrolled for 2 grammar workshops. It's a nice challenge. And I feel that I improved my French and am able to communicate. If everything's alright, I will definitely sign up for DELF (B1) in October. I really enjoy my classes at Alliance Francaise. But I must say it's not an easy language. Spanish seems simple as, everything is very logical. Can you imagine, when French want to say "I miss you" they say "you miss me" which is "tu me manques". "You miss me" = "je te manque" :))))))
