Today, I took my first stab at making fried chicken strips. I usually don't make or eat deep fried foods, but I found a recipe that sounded easy and tasty. It was both.
All I did was cut the chicken breasts into thin strips, coat them in mustard, followed by dipping them in flour, egg and finally bread crumbs. I added some herbal salt to both the flour and bread crumbs to make sure it wouldn't taste bland. Then I fried them in a skillet in a little oil. Not too high heat. Finished by draining them on some papertowel.
The potatoes, I just peeled, cut into wedges, boiled until almost tender, drained them off and let them steam for a few minutes, and then fried in a little bit of butter in a skillet. I added herbal salt and thyme to them, because I just LOVE thyme.
Easy as pie! But I have to apologize for the not so apetizing photo. I am crap at photographing food!!!! But I guarantee you; it tasted great! :)
