Been too damned long since I had a chance to pass along some of the fun stuff that I've been reading. How 'bout I fix that?
More Ancient Hills Discovered in Burnt City As some of y'all may remember from an earlier entry,
Burnt City is one of the coolest and most important archaeological sites in Iran. I'm a big fan of it, in part because

Hee! I want DVD extras. God, I love geeks.
Alright. "Scan White Shaman pics" is now on the List. And to defend our honor, the reason we were bundled up was because we'd been expecting warm, sweaty, dry weather, and had packed accordingly. Instead, a freak convergence of three weather patterns caused unseasonal and unexpected cold, wet, windy weather. We had to cope by wearing every single piece of clothing we'd brought in an attempt to achieve warmth through layers. It was seriously so crappy that when we went to Big Bend (a later part of the trip), we couldn't even get up to the Basin because the road iced over. In fall. In West Texas. All the desert scrub brush was frosted over on the drive back. I'm just sayin', it's a desert. Adding to the fun, the stupid bint (I'm justified in saying bad things about her, because she was a bitch who turned all my friends against me, leaving me alone and abandoned and scarred for life in junior high) who had brought the tent for our group had a POS that wasn't waterproof like my family's are and a rain fly that didn't quite overhang the edges of the tent base, so we had puddles forming under our sleeping bags. NOT COOL. Katie, of course, got to go on the spring semester trip, which had astoundingly beautiful post-rainy season desert sights. Sigh.

However, re: the stupid bint? BITCH. And also, MORON. What a shitty tent to subject y'all to. Argh. Rain under the bags is definitely not cool. And why the fuck did she go all bitchy about you? Just one of those shitty junior high girl things to do? *hates her vicariously*

To be completely honest? I actually have no idea. Absolutely none. It was like she did it on a whim, which is just psycho. All I really know is that it was really unpleasant for me, because it was literally like, one day I had friends, and the next I didn't. They just stopped talking to me, which is not something I was entirely equipped to handle gracefully at the age of 13. Bitch. It was a good thing in the long run, though, because I found my people instead of staying with that group (I was actually friends with the "cool" circle 7th/first half of 8th grade, until the Bitch Debacle). So, it was not fun but really a boon in the end.

I don't know if I've told you this already somewhere else or not, but that would be a big HELL YEAH! Our room is going to be totally kickass and insane: me, Katie, ladyjaida, lessien, and sevenfists sleeping on the floor. AWESOME.
