I took a long lunch break from Overhauling The Room to watch the latest TW (which made me make so many different noises, I can't even) and last week's SPN.

Well, thank you so much. *g* I'm always so happy to provide background info on the stuff I read up on for fun (alchemy is one of my completely guilty pleasures as a scientist because it's where modern Western science as we know it had its start) to other folks who might find it equally of interest but simply haven't had the time to look into the subjects the way I have.

You might enjoy some of my other SPN meta, wherein I get my geek on in even more detail and with even more supporting links. (I don't expect folks to take me at my word/interpretation regarding the material and, besides, I know I dig having access to source materials whenever possible.) I link to a few of the fun ones in this entry, although the Dean-as-Mithras one might ring your bell, too, especially since I found images which address the pendant he wears.
