It's been a little while since I've been clear-headed enough to do this sort of entry. Reading up on alchemy (Western and otherwise) has been a long-time hobby of mine. It's where science started and I'm just fascinated by it and how it developed over time.

There has consistently been enough that's been used correctly (although, at least in terms of the symbols, slightly altered much the way MacGuyver eps used to leave out one of the elements needed to actually build the IED of the week) to convince me someone on this show ain't playing when it comes to doing at least a certain amount of research. Even when we see the guys (or the Trickster) do something deliberately faked up, the faked-up bits still make since in context of herbal lore, symbols, and any number of alchemical texts. As you said, that they have enough respect for the viewers and/or take that much pleasure and pride in what they're doing well and truly guarantees I'll keep watching.

It's almost two in the morning and I have to be up early for my interview. I'll pick up with replying to your thoughts after I've had some sleep and, you know, maybe scored a job. :D
