Given I'm not a fan of King, I'm glad you pointed out all the references. Oh pick up your jaw, girl! I hate horror movies and books. I did think that all-of-a-sudden drunk Sam was a bit off though.... he usually does angst longer. But it was interesting to see Dean chew him out for it only because it was in the middle of a job. Hmm, now that I think about it, he didn't seem that shocked by his reaction. Probably because of what he pointed out earlier about expecting more angsting from Sam....
Given that Sam has put the same burden on Dean that their dad did (save him or kill him), I just wonder when he's going to shatter under the weight of it all. I wonder if Sam is ever going to realize he might have (probably did rather) sign Dean's own death sentence? Because seriously? I can see that if Dean ever has to do that to his little brother, the next shot's for his own head.
I was muttering at the screen when Dean made the comment about mixing whiskey and Jaggermeister, and man I just about yelled when Sam admited he could still taste the tequila. Dude! Did he learn nothing from his big brother?! You NEVER mix liquor, especially brown and white. It will fuck you up every time. Then... I realized something. Sammy still drinks like a college kid. *snerks* Anything and everything. I love Dean's reaction the next morning. Soooo older sibling. *smirks* Oh yes.... Right down to the comment about brushing teeth.
Ohhhhhh am I the only one that wonders if maybe Sammy's sweet on Ellen? I mean, she mentions this one place and 'boom' Sam's all ready to go check it out for her. Ohh oh oh! and then, and then... that hug at the end and Dean's comment about MILF. *snickers* Sammy's attracting cougars!
*clears throat* You know... maybe this ep did make me a little too hyper. (day after too, dayum.....)

I have no thinky meta about the ep, but I thought that Sammy might be sweet on Ellen from the very first time, she showed up. So glad, that I'm not the only one.
Heh. I totally think Sam is a little sweet on Ellen. I've thought that from the start, too. He just has to have a tiny thrill every time she calls him "Sweetie" because that's so far on the other side of the world from what he's used to. :D

I totally think Sam + Ellen = love. Plus, Dean's reaction would be hilarious.
And the tequila in the drunk!Sam scene so was a shout-out to you.
