"If you're a racist, I will attack you with the North" - Abraham Lincoln

It's time once again for the daily blogging. Don't really have much of an introduction to today's ramblings, but I just wanted to take some time to talk about the recent Barry Bonds allegations about him doing steroids, since no one has been talking about it on the news or the Internet since the story broke. Regardless, I think Barry Bonds is a horrible man and I wish he would just retire right now before the last few supporters he has left turn their back on him. Mark McGwire was guilty of steroids, hell he kept them in his locker for all the reporters to see, but he retired before any big controversey arose. Bonds should have done the same because now all respect that he has earned is lost, like what has happened to Rafeal Palmeiro. Can you tell I'm getting excited for baseball? I've been wanting to bring up baseball for a while now and if you're not a fan of baseball just be happy that I haven't. I could bring up sports on a more regular basis, but I'll keep the sports talk to a minimum, don't worry, I just needed some introduction material today. Let's get on with it:

Woke up at 8:27, talked to Jinna for a bit before I needed to hop in the shower and do all of that fun stuff. Ate some beef sandwiches for breakfast and worked on the studying for my Financial Markets test that I began last night. I studied while listening to Lewis Black's "End of the Universe" CD and then an episode of The Ricky Gervais Show. For the record, they make some great study listening. I left to go to my first class, where we did nothing. Going to marketing class has pretty much become a waste of time, but I need to go to earn my participation credits. We got done really early and normally I would have just found somewhere to sit and read some comics, but I decided to head back to the FOS and watch some movie trailers. I've started to fall behind on movie trailers and podcasts because I'm downloading them at too fast of a pace to keep up. So I set up a folder in iTunes called, "Stuff I Need To Listen To" where I can more easily track the stuff that I've added, but still haven't watched or listened to. So I knocked out a couple of trailers and some other free movie clips I got from iTunes and then left to go to my Financial Market class.

Considering that I actually spent a lot of time studying for this one and working out how to do the problems, I was disappointed when I read the first page of the test and had no idea how to figure out any of the math problems or the regular multiple choice questions. Probably didn't do as good on it as I should have. I was aware of how to do every math problem for the class, but he added a couple of problems that we didn't even go over before and I had no idea how to do, so that ticked me off a bit. I finished the test with enough time to come back to the FOS and watch the last two episodes of Grounded For Life on the second disc. I've watched 12 episodes in a few day spans and yeah, it's good stuff. I'm glad I was able to promote it because I'm digging it thus far.

After eating my family sized or as I call it Quarter-Brent sized (because I could eat about four of those things) lasagna, I went to work from 4:30 to 10:00. Not much to report from there except for the fact that this was my only shift this week and next week I only work Thursday from 4:30 to 10:00. So clearly, I'm getting tons of hours a week, and the good thing is the last couple of times that I've worked they've had people training to work on the sales floor. Brilliant, you have one of your best workers down to 5.5 hours a week and yet you're hiring more horrible people that don't do any work to take away my hours. Thanks a lot Target.

A semi-amusing anecdote from Target though, I actually spent time talking to a co-worker for a bit tonight. Normally everyone at the store can be seen in a group talking to each other while I'm running around doing work, but in this case we were both working on pulls in the same area. I was able to bust out what I thought was a pretty good line when I was talking about how I thought Green Bay was better then I expected it to be, and since she had grown up her all her life she said, "Yeah, I guess it isn't so bad considering pretty much everyone I know who moved away, has moved back again." And then I said, "Well no, I was just referring to the fact that it has a Budget Theater." Which lead to a conversation about movies, one of my favorite areas to talk about as you're probably well aware of by now. I was able to scare her by telling her that I've seen 20 movies at the Budget Theater so far in 2006, including my infamous 11 movies in 6 days, and then talked about my semi-large DVD collection, and then started talking about current movies when I started talking about Fango this past weekend and meeting the director of The Hills Have Eyes and all that. So that was a fun conversation, she's looking forward to seeing "Failure To Launch," which I've put on my hopefully it'll hit the Budget before school is over list.

Came back to the FOS after work, listened to a Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant radio show, the intro of Conan O'Brien, The Daily Show and The Colbert Report. I'm feeling pretty tired, so I'm probably going to hit the hay right after this is all over with. In the meantime, enjoy some of the awesome features, that you only get from reading this blog.

What's on tap?

I've decided that every Thursday, I'm going to post my huge plans for the upcoming weekend, that is so long as I remember to do it. Please note, that these plans are no way concrete, but just thought you'd love to know to exciting events I have in store for the next three days.

Friday - I have to make a trip to Target to pick up my paycheck, it won't be a lot of money, but every bit helps. I'll have to make a run to the bank so I can get that very important wad of cash in my checking account to pay for my comic book order. I'll be making a trip to the Marc Cinema to see the 4:05 showing of The Hills Have Eyes, so long as there isn't something mind blowingly awesome playing at the Budget, but more then likely I'll be seeing Alexandre Aja's new flick. Then I've got the new episode of Monk to watch and Conan O'Brien's Finland special is going to be on. So that's some pretty good stuff.

Saturday - You thought Friday was exciting, Saturday, well I've got nothing. I'll probably just sit around the FOS the entire day. I've been getting the urge to do some writing projects and might get working on this past weekend's update for both this blog and working on a photo and analysis page for my website. I may also do some studying... but don't count on it.

Sunday - Boy howdy this day is going to be a slobberknocker. There are two AFL games on TV that day, so I'll probably watch them, but that's really about all I'm planning on doing. I'll probably get the urge to play some Arena Football: The Video Game too, because well I'm just CRAZY like that.

Weblink of the Day: Why did I even bother watching the Oscars when I could get most of the good Jon Stewart stuff online, here's the introduction (Video)
