Thinking

I just had to write a paper and I honestly don't think I am going to get a good grade because I went off on a tangent about something completely irrelevant to the topic. It was relevant but not entirely. I started talking about how in post modern literature there is no order and no presence of a center. For instance, my order or "master narrative" is Christianity so that is my driving force in everything I do. I make sure that every decision I make matches up with my morals, beliefs and values. Ok so sometimes I screw up but I am talking about MOST of the decisions I make. Some people's overriding order is Capitalism or Judaism. Well, in PM lit there is no presence of an order or a center. They focus on tiny narratives that have no relation.

I give that brief lesson to bring up my point. PM lit requires you to think too much. And when you think too much it is easy to break down your center. You get what I am saying? I can be devoted to my faith but when I start to think about it and try to question it I am just left with more questions.

Also, have you noticed that you can't really describe anything? Like feelings...when you try to describe those you just say "love feels like..." "sadness is like..." you can't ever give a definite answer to what they are. And also, all feelings really feel the same...your body has the same type of reactions, you just think different thoughts. So, when you say that something hurt your feelings it really didn't...it just upset your thinking. Or when you are "moved" by someone or something then something just clicks mentally. Hatred is not in your heart but in your head...

I am just being philosophical tonight...don't mind me!
