Dragoncon
Well, I'm off to Dragoncon tomorrow. One of my friends is a guest at the con every year and she drags me along as her guest. So I get a free vacation. :) (plus I get to spend time with my friend) I had a real good time last year. The highlight of my trip was meeting Andy Hallett and Ray Parks. I got their autographs but the best part was we had time to have a real conversation. Andy is one of the sweetest guys around .. and very tall at least 6'3". And very well built :). Ray Parks is not so tall ;), but just as well built. We had a nice conversation about his experience filming The Legend of Sleepy Hollow ... and he seemed to enjoy talking about something other than Darth Maul and the guy in x-men. The girls from Farscape were a real treat as well.
This year Claudia Black (Aeryn Sun), Gigi Edgley (Chianna) and Virginia Hey (Zahn) will be there. I'm really looking forward to seeing them all together ... they're a lot of fun.
I'll probably try to see James Marsters/Juliet Landau/Elisabeth Rohm as well, but I hate the crowds James draws. I don't mind waiting in line, but not sure if I'll try to see all of their panels.
The atmosphere at the con is great. Most people are very friendly and the costumes are wonderful. All in all a great weekend. :)
