The other children in school always stared at him when he enters the classroom. Why, he didn't get that for the first few months. Then he overheard a conversation and knew it was because his blank face irritated them and it was the reason no one talked to him. Seishirou decided it wasn't the right reason to be stared at by many and spent many afternoons in front of the bathroom mirror. He was good at school, nearly perfect at all things. Excelled at physical educations and biology. Physics, not so much -- probably stemmed from the fact that he had never had any problems defying its laws.
When he stood in front of the bathroom mirror he pushed the corners of his mouth up. At the beginning, it was straining his muscles. The first maid he'd ever had had told him he'd been a cheerful kid, giggling all day. She told him this the day before her death.
Mother had sent him a letter, ordering him to kill the maid.
It had, since then, been a common occurence. Every three months he'd receive a letter with sharp, elegant handwriting. No name, but he knew it was Mother's. And everytime, it read: "Kill the maid."
It wasn't until he met his mother for the first time that he learned she was jealous of the maids who could stay with him, touch him.
The later maids had never seen him smiling and rarely talked to him, too. They were like his classmates, staring at him, reacting to his words, maybe, sometimes.
It took him two maids -- half a year -- of practice, then he'd mastered smiling. He used it every day and soon his classmates were flocking together around him. He was the shining star of class 1-D. Everyone loved him.
But, still, everyone watched him.
They were drawn towards him like moths to the light.
It was just that when the sudden decease of the second class's bunny arrived, this time no one had him as the murderer in mind.
