[ Ange never really feels the need to broadcast anything over the journals, as anti-social as she is and all. But today she's perhaps feeling a bit more bored or a bit more annoyed than usual, probably because of some recent arrivals. So she has actually taken the effort to speak up for once now, her voice as flat and deadpan as it always is. ]So, ( Read more... )

N-No! I don't want to be here whilst my friends are back in my world! I know when we return it will be as though we never left... B-But why wait?!

[She's actually getting a little worked up over this, not that she minds how other people spend their time here. If anything she might get involved in some of the parties herself, but...]

Apparently there have been attempts to escape before, but none of them were successful... Uhm, perhaps if we worked together, we could find a new way out? I would have to do some more reading at the library...

[ Ah, at least this is more the kind of spirit Ange likes to see - there's still something waiting for her back home too rather than just being stuck in this place, after all. ]

I'm glad to see not everyone here has succumbed to the parties and wasting time. [ And something about it sounds genuinely glad, even through her deadpan. ]

Yeah, I already heard that some attempts have failed before, but if we would just keep working towards it then one day we'd definitely have to reach it, right? And the more people that work on it the better.

I think the parties will help a few of us, some might find it comforting. Or perhaps distracting from the reality of the situation? I-I'm not sure. [Her words sort of trail of towards the end there into a mumble.] Some people need to keep their spirits up somehow after all.

Yes, with enough people and a proper drive I don't see how it can't be manageable! I-I already met someone named Touma-san who feels the same way, so perhaps we could work something out between the three of us?

See, that's the problem from the start-- shouldn't the idea that they might get to go home be enough to keep up people's spirits? For me personally getting out of this hellish place and back home is more than enough of a drive to work towards it, really, but apparently most people here don't even care about their home anymore.

[ At that second part she pauses though. ]

... Are you maybe talking about Kamijou Touma?

People here do care about their homes, even if they don't show it. A-At least I think so. I'm sure if they had a glimmer of hope that there was a way out, everyone would jump at the chance! I imagine with so many attempts being made in the past with no success it would be a little... Depressing to keep trying. A-After so long I mean! Uhm...

[Oh, this person knows him too? That's great!]

Yes, that's him! He found me when I first arrived here. How did you two meet? If you don't mind me asking of course.

The trick is just to not give up at something like that. Even if multiple tries fail, then it ultimately has to work out in the end sometime, right? But if you already give up before getting there, then.. ah, it's useless, it's all useless.

He ran into me after being chased by angry girls for peeking into the hot springs when he first arrived. [ okay, that's not exactly it, but Ange is good at accidentally ommiting important details with her deadpan way of talking. ] But I know what guy you're talking about.. that overly helpful guy, right?

I guess you're right, even with so many attempts made there must be a few things that haven't been tried. [...] What would you suggest we do then? ...P-Perhaps we could form a group and get together to think out some plans!

A-Ah?! He did? O-Oh, uhm... [Funny, he ran into her when she was half naked, but those are details she doesn't need to talk about...] B-But yes, the helpful person. He likes to use rpg terminology a lot too...

Ah, yeah, a brainstorming session of sorts might work.. All of us here come from so many different worlds that everyone might be able to think up different sort of ideas. Not to mention that everyone has different sort of powers that might come in useful too.

Aside from talking about himself in the third person and making up lame nicknames, I wouldn't put it past him, really. [ she actually got along pretty well with him though, even with all her talk like that.. ] ... He isn't a bad guy though, I guess.

Oh of course. Everyone will have different skills and abilities to bring to the table, perhaps even abilities that will work together with other ones to bring about a better effect...!

The nicknames aren't so bad I-I guess? [Someone from her own world spoke sort of similar to him anyway, in regards to nicknames. Perhaps she's just used to it.] Though he isn't a bad guy at all. He seems very friendly to me.

I can't say I'm a huge fan of teamwork and similar things to that normally, but this situation is an exception. I know I can't get out of here on my own. No.. nobody can get out of here on their own, so it's only natural.

He's the sort of idiot that would go out of his way just to help other people, even if he would get hurt in the process. [ But even when she says 'idiot', she means it somewhat fondly. A bit. Maybe. ] One day it will definitely get him into big trouble, but I bet no one could still convince him to knock it off.

Well even outside of a situation like this working in a team can be very beneficial. [But she'll leave it there. She's read enough books to know not everyone appreciates teamwork the same way.] It's good to know you'll give teamwork a try in this case though. I'm sure no one will let you down!

Eheh, yes, he's an incredibly selfless person. He has the personality of someone out of a fantasy novel at times! [Past the rpg terminology and what not.]

I hope so. I don't take kindly to people who betray me. [ And her tone already suggests that 'not taking kindly' here translates to something along the lines of 'punching them in the face at the very least'.. ] I've already experienced that too many times, it's getting sort of old by now.

And.. someone out of a fantasy novel, huh? I guess that's a pretty fitting comparision, yeah. Trying to act like a prince on a white horse and all that.

I-I see, I'm very sorry to hear that. But the people here seem to be very nice, so I doubt anyone will betray you. [She thinks so anyway.] Uhm, I won't betray you at any rate, if that's any consolation?

I'm sure if he found the proper costume and a horse to ride on he would fit the part quite well!

There's no way that someone who is planning to betray others would act suspiciously or even downright tell them they're going to betray them, right? ... Regardless, I guess I'll believe you for now. [ If not just because she's talking about all of this in the first place and sounds pretty naive.. ]

Please don't tell him that though. You might give him all sort of ideas he's better off not having. If you'd tell him that he might just actually go and do it.

alreadyknowsyou September 21 2011, 22:18:40 UTC
Well no, I guess not... But if you ever suspected someone of betraying you at a later date then I could find out for you. All I would need is their name and I'd be able to tell you right away what they were planning! Regardless, thank you for believing me.

Aheh, wouldn't that be funny though? [She can't help but giggle, it'd be funny for everyone to see and Touma would probably enjoy it himself to boot.]

... Huh? [ that interests her a little - enough to make her pause for a moment. ] Is that some sort of special power you have, to be able to read other people's true intentions perfectly even when they're hiding it?

[ And at that she pauses for a moment, but.. there's a very, very faint amused sound. ]

I guess it wouldn't be all that bad to see. But are you sure he wouldn't embarass himself?
