[ Ange never really feels the need to broadcast anything over the journals, as anti-social as she is and all. But today she's perhaps feeling a bit more bored or a bit more annoyed than usual, probably because of some recent arrivals. So she has actually taken the effort to speak up for once now, her voice as flat and deadpan as it always is. ]So, ( Read more... )

It's like people conveniently forget that we're held here against our will and experimented on.

The first chance I get, I'm killing the fuckers in charge and leaving.

Might want to first get the information on how to get back to our own worlds before killing them though, you know.

... That aside, I agree. They're acting as if it's a thing to be celebrated. Apparently they're just that happy to be nothing more than caged birds.

I know how to make the kind of bastards that run these operations talk.

So we have a little free reign. A long leash instead of a short one. Living as a lab rat is hell regardless.

Oh? You sound like you have something in mind already.

Don't worry, I know exactly what you mean. I'm tired of people just toying around with me all the time. No matter how much they're going to let us have the freedom to do whatever we want in the bounds of Luceti, I at the very least won't forget we're still completely trapped by them and forced into drafts and experiments and whatever ridiculous idea they come up with next.

I'd have to have more information to form an actual plan, but I've gotten information out of Russian spies before. The type to run these operations talk much easier than someone actually trained to hold their tongue under torture.

I only just managed to free myself of the bastards that run by city back home. Like hell I wanted to come here and be under someone else's control again. I was a lab rat for around ten years, I'm more than fed up with this shit.

Ah, that would be useful - we'd need some way to get the information out of them, after all. Maybe it's that they won't even want to talk when they're completely cornered. Taking it to the grave and all that.

And I guess in that aspect we're a little alike. Back home I was constantly played around with and used by other people too, so I know how easy it is to get sick and tired of that.

Tch, maybe. But the type of people to do this shit usually are just cowards that squeal like pigs.

I can't see why it seems to be fun and exciting even if people aren't used to it.

Well, we don't see them around in the village a lot.. And even when they do have a broadcast of sorts, it's only to announce a draft or something of the like. Them being the types to hide their faces would go hand in hand with the coward theory, yeah.

Exactly.

But as much as I want to give these bastards what's coming to them, if I can escape without touching them I won't be complaining.

Of course, that's the first priority. If anyone were given the choice between getting revenge on our captors or leaving this place, they would naturally pick the latter, right? The main goal should be to find a way out of here, beating our captors is only one way to reach that point.

Some people are even dumb enough to want to bring their loved ones here instead.

I suppose I could understand wanting to build a new life with them here rather in a ruined world or whatever, but.. do they truly thing they're off better as lab rats instead? That's just trading in one evil for another.

I live in a pretty shitty world.

I'd still rather go back there than live as an experimental animal again.

Yeah, that's me too, although..

[ a slightly drawn-out sigh. ]

I guess some people just think about it differently. Most of them are probably just idiots.

Most people in general are just idiots.

Unfortunately this is more than true for the general world population, yes. It's about finding those few people who are worth dealing with.
