shawn is growning up
i got to see henry rollins for the fourth time last night. it was pretty sweet. i love me some rollins. especially his fanboy stories. and i got to hang out with scott ross, which is always awesome. and adam. he's a cool guy.
i went to buy a car today. i'm getting a 4-runner. i know. i'm getting a gas-guzzling suv. i suck. but i want to be able to go to the mountains and take my puppy and mommy with me. i haven't bought it yet. they didn't have the one i wanted in stock, but they are getting it, maybe. they will call on monday. i hope this works out. i hate this whole process. i'm hoping this car will last for 10-15 years and i won't have to go through this for a long time.
i will officially be a published author next month. i helped write the catalogue for the upcoming exhibition at the mint called "contemporary, cool and collected." it's going to be awesome. i highly recommend that everyone go and see it. there are tons of cool artists and pieces.
my new full time job is going well. i'm tired all the time, but i'm enjoying it. tonight is the first saturday night in a while that i'm home chillin'. it's nice. i thought about going to see the fireworks at mint hill madness, but decided to stay home instead. i did go to the parade. my uncle is business man of the year and he was in the parade. i had fun. it was good to see some of my relatives and former neighbors that i haven't seen in a while.
i need to think of something to be for halloween.
i bought seasons 1 and 2 of "arrested development." man that is a good show.
speaking of good shows, i watched "the office" season premiere. i love that show. and jim. i got invited to the office convention. i kinda want to go, but i'm not going to be able to. it might be fun. but jim isn't going to be there.
