Last night's dream

You know those red rubber bands that postmen use to bundle up the post? Well, our postman seems to feel the need to drop them all over our driveway. And in my dream last night I was on a mission to collect up all the red rubber bands and send them back to Royal Mail, so I started picking them up and then suddenly I was in my parents front garden (the way you amazingly teleport like that in a dream) and everywhere I turned there was another red rubber band - on the grass, on the path, in the flower beds... I must have picked up about 300 of the bloody things before I woke up.

Still, it wasn't as weird as Saturday night's dream - that was one of those epic movie type dreams where you're watching stuff happening but aren't really involved and there's a big cast of characters and multiple plot-lines and you're not quite sure what's going on.

One story-line involved some nasty step-mother type person and her son/step-son/whoever who she really hated. Anyway, the two of them are in a helicopter flying to her mansion (obviously!), but the mansion has somehow burned down and she has to move in to his tiny studio flat with him. Then to make up for the trauma of her having her mansion destroyed, he decides to run her a bath, but for some reason the towels are in the bath and they get soaked. She is so mad at him that she burns all his clothes. Errrr, yes, ok... No clue what that was about.

And then there is a man whose daughter has gone missing, and the reason he knows she's missing is because she borrowed his glasses... Yep... And the girl's boyfriend thinks she has been eaten by a great white shark, so he takes his sister out in a lifeboat to catch the shark which somehow they manage to do despite having no shark catching equipment. Then they tie the shark to the boat and cut it open - cue lots of blood and guts spewing out everywhere. And inside the shark is a big fish, and inside that is another fish, etc - like Russian dolls. And somewhere in there is a skeleton wearing the father's glasses (see, they were relevant to the plot after all).

I think my subconscience hates me...
