Title: Watching Stars Without You.
Author: Reptarbars
Fandom: Drake and Josh
Pairing: Drake/Josh
Rating: T (somelanguage)
WordCount: 390
Disclaimer: I don't own em', yo.
Warning: Character death
Summary: I want to yell at them, "He was my soul mate, too! He wasn't just a son and a brother and a musician! He took a piece of me with him! Doesn't that deserve to be carved into a f****ing rock?" Implied DJSLASH. Oneshot.
AN: Written a while back, but during what I consider to be, 'My PrimeTime.' :D
It just came to me while I was listening to a song by Beyonce called “Still In Love (Kissing You.)” That’s where the first line came from, and also the title.

--
I never fell in love quite before, until I saw your face.
--
I thought I couldn’t live without you. I thought I couldn’t live without your smell or your heartbeat.

But I’m still standing over your freshly refilled grave, wanting to rip the fake azaleas from the soft dirt and dig until my fingers bleed and I cut my palms against the thorns of the roses thrown onto your casket by people who will never understand how important it was for you to be alive. Just to touch your skin again.

Every breath is unwanted and soaked in bleach-like pain, burning the back of my throat and lungs and every nerve of my heart.

I want to scream at Walter and Audrey for not getting your tombstone right.

I want to yell at them, "He was my soul mate, too! He wasn't just a son and a brother and a musician! He took a piece of me with him! Doesn't that deserve to be carved into a fucking rock?"

But I just stand in front of your re-filled grave, watching the stars without your ear against my neck; without your arms keeping me from drifting away on pure bliss.

But I'm still here without your arms, and my soul cries; a soft trickling sensation in the bottoms of my feet as it slowly falls apart, leaving me empty and without even the memory of your smell or your heartbeat.

AN2: So, if you’re wondering how Drake died, I don’t really know. I was stuck in Josh’s character, and Josh didn’t want to think about what killed the love of his life. Does that make sense?
