A Snippet From A Song That Suits You Well:
I feel stupid, but it's something that comes and goes
I've been changin' - I think it's funny how no one knows
We don't talk about the little things that we do without
When that whole mad season comes around. - Mad Season, by Matchbox 20
Your Favorite Quote:
Don't really think about that much... I'm going to say 'I love deadlines. I love the whooshing sound they make as they fly by.' - Douglas Adams.
Likes:
Music, books, nice notebooks, nice pens, walking at night, night-time in general, quiet/abandoned places, forests, reading, singing, hanging out with a close group of friends, the smell of freshly-cut grass, waking up to birdsong, falling asleep to rain, dancing in the rain, foreign languages, old architecture, closed-in spaces (alleyways, a small room without windows, basically all of Venice, the space under my bed), steam rooms, intelligent conversation, playing Sardines in the dark.
Dislikes:
Being cold, crowds, overly bright/sterile places (WAL-MART MUST DIE), people reading over my shoulder as I write, people reading over my shoulder in general, people who sing off-key, people who sing lyrics wrong, being humiliated, cheap pens, pencils breaking, writer's block, walks in the middle of the day, Starbucks, idiots.
Talents:
I'm a very arts-related person - I'm good at writing (fiction, more novels and novellas than short fiction, never poetry if I can avoid it), singing (alto range mostly - when I heard Graverobber hit that low note in 21st Century Cure, I knew that I wanted that octave SO. BADLY.), playing instruments (alto saxophone being my favorite, with flute, piano and acoustic guitar behind). I'm also good at slipping through crowds, and hiding.
Hobbies:
Reading/writing fiction (fantasy, urban fantasy, science fiction) and fanfiction, playing around on the internet, playing music (alto saxophone, flute, piano, acoustic guitar), singing (choral or more modern), learning languages/codes, hiding so that nobody can find me.
What Do Your Friends Like About You?
My strange sense of humor, and the fact that I help them with their homework. XD I'm apparently a bit reserved, but when I actually let myself go I go pretty wild (and it's fun to surprise people when I do!)
What Do You Like About Yourself The Most?
I'm creative, and I'm not afraid to be a little different from the rest.
It’s Late At Night and You Have No Work to Do. How Do You Busy Yourself?
Go out for a late-night walk, write something, or call up some friends and try to figure out something to do. Maybe watch a movie.
A Little Deeper…
What do you believe is your ideal career?
Bestselling author. (It's a long shot, but hey, a girl can dream!)
What were you like as a child?
Precocious; I ended up talking more with adults than with kids my age. Pretty stubborn but people liked me. Good at wandering off and making friends with random strangers. XD
Are you satisfied with your life?
I'm at a bit of a crossroads right now; my entire goal is to find what it is that I want to do with my life and then do it.
Someone kills someone who was important to you. How do you react?
I find them, torture them for a week or so, then kill them. You do NOT mess with my people.
Your Favorites…
Favorite Book(s)?
Lord of the Rings, Dresden Files, anything by Neil Gaiman (the man is so delightfully twisted, and he has a great way with words), Good Omens, Shadow of the Wind, Famous Last Words... the list goes on.
Favorite Movie(s)?
Repo! (yeah, not obvious at all...) Lord of the Rings, Princess Bride, Rocky Horror Picture Show, Road to El Dorado, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, Sherlock Holmes (the new movie mostly, but the older ones as well), Sweeney Todd
Favorite Artist(s)?
Music artists? I hope so...
Counting Crows, MIKA, Nightwish, Great Big Sea, Mozart, Gin Blossoms, Dust Poets, Neil Patrick Harris, Elton John
Favorite Music?
I have eclectic tastes - as long as it's got interesting lyrics, good instrumentation and is well sung (if there's vocals), I'll probably listen to it. My only problems are with most modern hip-hop, rap, screamo and really hardcore metal.
Favorite Place(s)?
My bedroom, the spot underneath the bridge by my house (quiet for the most part, and you can sometimes spy on the people crossing the bridge above you!), Venice (went there for a week when I was younger, fell in love), the room where the Creative Writing Club meets at my school, the locker rooms at my school.
What is Your Favorite Childhood Memory?
Walking on the railing of the porch at the house we rented on Cape Breton, where the land just dropped away below me on one side, and I could see the ocean.
About Repo!…
What song do you find yourself singing when no one else is around?
'Zydrate comes in a little glass vial...' (WON'T LEAVE MY HEAD)
Which character can you imagine yourself hanging out with?
Graverobber. He'd be an interesting conversationalist, we might end up having an adventure or two, and he's kinda hawt. >_>
Who should be running GeneCo?
Amber Sweet - she seems like the least psychotic of the family.
What are your feelings on ascots?
Pretty awesome, if done right.
If you could undergo any surgery without having to pay, what would you have done?
Little bit of lipo for the belly chubs.
Who from Repo! do you dislike the most?
It's a toss-up between Rotti and Luigi - Rotti's a complete bastard and willing to kill to get his way, but you can at least (sort of) understand his motivation. Luigi's just a monster: we don't get enough characterization for him to learn anything more than the fact that he's got a hair-trigger temper and will kill you without a second thought. Also he's annoying.
You are able to go to dinner with one of the characters. Who is it?
Graverobber, no contest.
