I should probably preface this by saying it was written at 1am...
It's taken me three days to write this post because I actually am not sure how to say what I want to say in it.
Basically I only swing by LJ to check the friends page and if there's nothing of note (which is usually the case these days) I carry on to my new home over at Tumblr. Brutal honesty time too: I have no plans to try and come here more often. Tumblr is a lot more active, I enjoy it a lot more and and half of my good LJ friends are on there anyway. Still I will not be disappearing, I still check the f-list page and I can still be contacted through here.
I've kind of fandom jumped too. And those who have me on Tumblr will by now have found themselves bashed over the head numerous times with my new OTP, the gorgeous Lady Sybil and Tom Branson of Downton Abbey (see my icon :P). I can't help it, they're just so perfect! If something happens to either of them in season 3 my emotions may not be able to cope!
There is a reason I've had the room for another love in my fandom life though. Because the horrible thing is that the DC reboot has killed my passion for comics.
I've dropped Superman from my pull-list and intend to drop Action Comics pretty soon. My love for them has just completely deflated. Even for fic! I feel absolutely terrible but I've stopped reading several Superman fics I was really enjoying just because I can't seem to get into them anymore- all I can think is 'DC fucked this up good in canon' :(
I'm not sure what this means for my fic writing though, because to be honest I'm not writing anything right now, the most I've posted in the past few months has been a very short oneshot (and it was DA too...). My Uni work is really getting the better of me although even that isn't going, I just hope I can scrape myself a pass. Cs get degrees guys!
I don't think I'll ever forgive myself if I don't finish Revelations though. I don't even care if it take 5 more years and all the readers have left. I will finish this thing goddammit!! The story is already done in my head, just need it in words...
