Awwww!! This was absolutely perfect! \O/

I think your Lois is spot-on, and her issues with the kids spending more time with Clark definitely fits. And she would SO teach her kids to shoot, and only at the range.

So glad Clark finally managed to figure things out; poor guy was definitely out of his depth there.

I don't know why your other betas didn't seem to like this. Maybe they just don't like guns. But, heh, Lois does, so there! I really do hope you post this to the Fest and to the FFA. :)

*applauds*

Aw, thanks!

I've always wanted to do a fic about that. I mean, we all know Lois is pretty badass by herself but the fact remains she doesn't have superpowers and everyone else in the family does. That has to affect her in some way. And I've always had it in my head she'd teach the kids to shot too :P

Lol, yes he was a bit, *hugs him* I can be so mean to him sometimes :P

The second beta did like it (after one change that was obvious when she told me :P) but like I said, I do value my main beta's opinion and that was what made me nervous. Glad you like it though, thanks for the encouragement, posted it to the Fest and FFA. *hugs*

I don't see any problems with it. I think this fits Lois in a good portion of the universes. Lois not only being able to shoot but appreciating guns is very canonical. Clark's outright dislike also it. The two points of view were bound to re-bound at some point and the way you do it and Clark's acceptance of it make a bunch of sense.

Thanks, yeah, I've always thought she'd have guns (and know how to use them too). And of course Clark hates what they can do but there is a middle-ground to be found.

Glad you liked it, thanks for commenting.

Wonderful construction of the argument for the kids owning guns! I found this really interesting and totally true to Lois's psychology as well.

Thanks! In my mind Lois has always owned a gun or two (or four in this 'verse :P) and I know she would have shown the kids when they were younger, taught them they were dangerous and if they ever found one not to touch it and to call Mom or Dad immediately. Then, if they're anything like me with my grandfather's rifles :P, they'll pester her to try them out when they get older and find out how fun target shooting with Mom can be :P

I've always wanted to write a fic exploring Lois' feelings about her kids powers too. There's no denying she's badass by herself but there's no denying she's the only one without powers and it has to affect her somehow when the kids start flying off with Dad. I'm glad this rang true to her character.

Lol, yeah I get a lot of comments on that whenever I write this 'verse :P I've written one or two oneshots about why they have six kids but the basic explanation is that Clark wanted a big family and Lois loves him :P (also, they can’t keep their hands of each other :P)

Thanks, it just totally seemed like Lois to me.

Finally made it over to read. Sorry, I'm so late!

You wrote this perfectly! I definitely understood both sides of the argument, and when they finally discussed it rationally, it made sense for them.

Awesome job, hon! :D

Lol, all good, I know how it gets sometimes (what with power vuts as well) *hugs*

Thanks, I've always seen Lois as owning guns and Clark as not liking it. Lois' issues with being the only member of the family without superpowers is something I've wanted to explore for a while too. Sure she's secure and awesome by herself but it has to have some affect on her, right?
