You know it had to have happened at some point...

Okay, it's more of a scrap than a oneshot, but I was writing a scene in Revelations and some awkward moments like this were mentioned and relief expressed they'd never happen again :P This little one came to me when I was baking and I had to write it down.

If you don't read Revelations all you need to know is that Sophie is Lois and Clark's daughter.

Sophie Kent was rather enjoying herself, she had objected to the idea of a school camp in the actual wilderness at first but huddled around the campfire playing 'Fuck, Marry, Kiss, Kill' with her friends while the stars shone brightly in the unpolluted sky over head had almost changed her mind.

"Sophie…" her friend Kelly said, frowning and she tried to think of four men that hadn’t already been used, "oh, I know! Orlando Bloom… Zac Efron, that guy you like from Aliens In America-"

"Dan Byrd," her friend Lisa supplied pulling her blanket tighter around herself. Sophie followed suit, at sixteen her Dad's heritage had well and truly kicked in and she had to be careful to act like the cold really was affecting her and the fire did get to hot sometimes.

"Ohhhh, I know," the fourth member of their huddle, Janie, grinned wickedly as she thought of the final one, "how about your Mom's good friend, Superman?"

"Ew!" the exclamation slipped out before Sophie could stop herself. The night changing from fun to a tad disturbing in a single word.

"What? Superman is not 'ew', he is freaking hot."

"And sexy, I'd join his mile high club," Kelly added as all the girls but Sophie giggled hysterically.

"C'mon, Kent," Janie prompted her once they'd calmed down, "Fuck, Marry, Kiss, Kill."

"How is Superman 'ew'?" Lisa asked, shaking her head, "Seriously, Sophie."

"He's like my Dad's age," Sophie tried to explain her slip. The statement was far more truthful than any of the other girls would hopefully ever know- in fact, drop everything after the apostrophe and it was the complete truth no one outside their family and very close friend could ever know.

"So?" Kelly asked, giggling again, "He's an alien, he sure as hell doesn't look it."

Sophie had to fight to keep her face screwing up again. She knew there were a lot of people who thought her Dad was very attractive, and she had read things on the internet and in tabloids that, as the man's daughter, she'd rather forget, but she'd always assumed it was all people her Mom's age.

"Okay," she said, nodding as she made her choices. "Fuck- Orlando Bloom, Marry- Dan Byrd, Kiss- Zac Efron and Kill- Superman." Sorry, Dad, she added silently.

"Sophie, you are weird," Lisa sighed, shaking her head. "Though I do agree on Dan, he does seem like an excellent husband."

"You can't kill Superman anyway," Kelly reminded them, "unless you had kryptonite."

"Hey, if Sophie doesn't want him I'll have him," Janie laughed, sending the girls into a fit of laughter again.

Sophie tried to join in but she was more concerned with trying to forget this conversation ever happened and the mental images of what her friend claimed they wanted to do with her Dad.

Her parents always told her that the secret was one of the only things keeping them safe from people who wanted to hurt Superman, and maybe it would have been more like a normal teenage girl to want to pick one of the other three for Superman, but really, however important the secret was, there were just some things that were too much to ask.
