[ Other Characters ] : None
[ Character's Name ] : Xion
[ Character's Age ] : Physically, she appears 14-15, but in the actual time she's been alive, she's less than a year old.
[ Series ] : Kingdom Hearts
[ Canon Point ] : Day 171 (After Xion fell into her "Deep Sleep".)
[ History ] :
Here's her game history! (But, if necessary, I'm happy to summarize it myself.)
[ Personality ] :
Xion tends to be a bucket of back-and-forth, as far as her emotions and disposition go. When she first arrived at the Organization, she hid behind her hood, and wouldn't speak to anyone at all; people mostly assumed she was mute. It wasn't until she worked with Roxas on a mission that she actually said something -- and it was merely his name. Simple, short, barely a whisper, but it was certainly there.
The more time she spends with people tends to help her open up; after Roxas was told to look after Xion, and have her accompany him on missions, she started to let down a few of her guards. The more time she spent with Roxas, on missions or on top of the clock tower, the more she became less like a shell, and Roxas started to see her as more than a cloaked girl. She opened up to Roxas -- and soon after, Axel -- and she started to speak more, to laugh and share jokes, and she became more than a simple doll.
She's fiercely protective of her friends, to the point that she'll become incensed when they're in danger, or even mentioned to be so. She always wants to do right by them, and do what's best, but she tends to worry that she may not be able to. She doesn't ever want to lose the two people closest to her, and she's willing to do whatever she can to make sure they're safe.
She's very generous, and happy to help when needed. But since she's a projection from Sora's memories, she resembles Kairi, in appearance and personality, and she shares Kairi's playful nature and willingness to help.
Xion can also be fairly rash, and she will sometimes act before she really thinks things through.
Once she realizes she's merely a replica, she develops a fear of being forgotten. She wants to be remembered, and she worries that because she's not a "real" person or Nobody, that she'll fade away into nothing. Though, she eventually comes to the conclusion that it would be best for her friends if she were to return to Sora.
[ Strengths/Weaknesses ] :
[Xion's Abilities]
- KEYBLADE: As she's connected to Sora, Xion is able to summon a keyblade as her weapon. She is able to wield it with her right or left hand.
- MAGIC: Fire, Blizzard, Cure
- LIMIT: Xion's limit break is called "Event Horizon," which involves covering her keyblade in a Light aura, and attacking quickly and viciously by jumping back and then forward to strike.
[Xion's Strengths]
- It could be said that her protectiveness of her friends is both a strength and a weakness. It gives her a reason to push herself harder to keep them safe, but it could also easily be used against her.
- Physically, she has more strength than her petite build would suggest, and she wields a Keyblade, which automatically makes her formidable.
[Xion's Weaknesses]
- She's easily goaded, and can be incredibly stubborn at times.
- She's immature and indecisive. Even though she's not technically a real person, the age at which she's made to be puts her at a critical time in an adolescent's life, leaving her fragile, emotionally, as well as uncertain regarding her identity -- the fact that she knows she's not "real" also attributes to her identity crisis. She still has to understand herself, even if she's only comprised of memories.
- She can be a little moody, and when upset, she becomes much more reclusive.
[ Other Important Facts ] :
- Due to the point at which I plucked her from canon, she doesn't yet know she's a replica.
- Xion loves seashells.
- Xion is only a projection of Sora's memories. She's a replica, and not a real person. However, because of that, she is able to wield a Keyblade, which is an ability I would like her to keep.
- As she is a replica, made of memories, people will not remember her if she disappears/goes on hiatus/leaves a game/ect.
- The things she'll bring with her include her coat, and the shirt and pants she wears under it. She carries a couple of potions and an elixir with her, just to be on the safe side.
- She keeps a regular diary, which will be one of the things she brings along with her, as well as a pen to write with.
[ Sample ] :
Xion's head ached, and her hands automatically moved to press at her temples, trying to quell that nasty throb. It wasn't until she felt damp leather against her face that she realized she was wet. She was completely soaked, through her leather coat, and the shirt beneath it, and -- lovely, water in her boots.
"How could that..." she trailed off, and as she forced her eyes open, she found herself staring at something blue. A very, very deep blue sky -- except from what she knew of skies, they didn't have fish flying in them. Or swimming; fish swim, she reminded herself.
So why were there fish in her sky?
Frowning, she forced herself to sit up, and for a moment, it made her head throb a little too much, before it faded. She ignored the small droplets of water that dripped from her bangs, and instead paid attention to the land -- or city, more of -- stretched out in front of her.
This was not her bedroom.
The last thing she could remember had been Roxas -- ice cream on the tower with Roxas after a mission, and she'd left him there. She'd gone back to Never Was and fallen asleep in her bed.
She remembered dreaming, but not what it was she'd dreamt. But she also remembered Saix, and she remembered that imposter in the coat.
He'd said she was a sham.
Teeth gritting, she forced herself away from that memory -- that stupid jerk, how could he say that? -- to focus on her surroundings, and the deep blue.
Mostly there was...more fish.
Oh, that's right; oceans have fish, so this must be the ocean. But being in the ocean? How was she breathing? How was this city here? How did she get wherever "here" was?
So many questions rattled through her head, and she tried to shake them away as her fingers flexed in her gloves. Water had seeped into them, and the squeaky sensation was unpleasant. Deciding she'd rather focus on that than on all her questions, she tried getting her gloves off. It took some effort, because the leather seemed to just want to slide against itself, but eventually, she wriggled them off.
Her first reaction was relief, because her hands felt much better without gloves -- and her second was to squeak when she saw something black on her left palm.
What is that what is that what is that?!
She rubbed at it with her other hand, trying to smudge it, and even wrung a little of the water out of her hair to try and wash the mark away.
It wasn't budging.
She wasn't sure what was more frustrating -- not being in her own bed, not knowing where she even was, or now having new weird marks that wouldn't go away. Xion kept staring at the mark, glaring at it like that would make it disappear (unfortunately for her, it was staying put).
Or perhaps the most frustrating thing was the persistent blue light that she noticed shining rather insistently from behind her. Xion quickly turned to bat at whatever it was -- because it didn't look big enough to be a Heartless, and it was kind of the wrong color -- but her hand never made contact; instead, the blue orb just lazily floated out of the way.
Well, at least it wasn't attacking her, and after more flailing at the blue thing proved useless, she just...stared at it. For a good long while.
She wasn't really sure if it stared back or not.
Finally, she asked, "What are you?"
And the blue thing just hovered.
"C-can you talk?"
More hovering, but no talking.
Xion frowned a bit, but leaned in, getting a better look.
That was not just a ball of light; that was a fairy. She'd heard about fairies -- Axel had mentioned them once to her and Roxas, said something about them having wings and looking like little people -- and oh, this was a fairy.
But this seemed to be a very boring fairy, because all it did was hover and stare at her. Maybe it would talk to her later? She certainly hoped so; it might have answers. Maybe it knew where Axel and Roxas were; she didn't know how long she'd been asleep, or how she'd even arrived, but now, she just wanted to see her best friends -- if they were even there.
Xion really hoped they were.
She glanced over at the fairy again. With that blue little orb there, she wasn't as anxious about this new place. Xion took a deep breath, and finally got to her feet, fairy in tow, to take a look at wherever she was in the deep blue sea.
