Miyadate’s partner, usually in crime, had always been Fukasawa, both at practicing dances and at doing pranks. Fukasawa had always been timid and reluctant with the pranks but he always helped Miyadate, and the results of their pranks were always hilarious.
"Let's sabotage Ikki's homework," Miyadate suggests one day at Mis Snow Man's dressing room, eyeing Ikki's pile of schoolbooks. "Let's dirty it, spill coffee on it, or replace his answers with wrong ones. Since he was working so hard on it, wouldn't that be hilarious?" He beams back at Fukasawa.
Instead of the usual grin that Miyadate expects, Fukasawa gives him a frown instead. "I don't think that's a good idea."
"Why not?"
"That's…" Fukasawa's eyebrows furrowed in thought. "Well, Ikki worked hard on it, and he was so relieved when he finally finished it, and-"
"Are you chickening out again?" Miyadate gave him a smug grin. He leans closer and presses his palm flat against the wall behind Fukasawa, making the older boy back up against the wall. He can't help but smirk at Fukasawa's flustered expression. "This is a good prank. Don't you want to do it?"
"No." Fukasawa's voice is quiet, but he stares back at Miyadate with determined eyes. "I won't let you do it!"
Miyadate blinks twice before pulling away from him. "Why are you so serious?" he laughs as he ruffles Fukasawa's hair affectionately.
"I just don't like it when people get sad over pranks.” Fukasawa shrugs, looking relieved as he straightens his shirt. “Pranks are supposed to be fun, aren't they?" He smiles just as Onodera comes tumbling into the dressing room with Watanabe, laughing and completely oblivious to the fact that Fukasawa had just saved his homework.
Miyadate realizes how important consulting Fukasawa before pulling pranks is.

Miyadate Ryota is a brave guy; always willing to be the first to try new things and always carrying out pranks that no one else would even dare to think about. One day he starts thinking of that thing called love, and how he should also be the brave one when it comes to it. Confessing would be a breeze to someone as brave as him, wouldn't it?
"Miyadate!"
Or not. His thoughts go down the drain when Fukasawa runs down the wet road and slows down to walk beside him.
"Hi," Fukka greets him with a smile, and Miyadate can't help but smile back. The other boy suddenly looks troubled and starts fidgeting with his shiny cellphone strap. "Um, did you memorize the choreography from yesterday? I don't remember anymore!"
“I’ll teach you when we get to the building,” Miyadate volunteers. He regrets it a little when Fukasawa gives him a friendly pat on the back and the meticulous dance moves he had memorized yesterday float away into the air.

As Sakuma is helping Miyadate improve his backflips, Miyadate tells him about his growing infatuation with Fukasawa and his plans to randomly confess to Fukasawa right after scaring him in the dressing room again.
“That’s such a dumb idea,” Sakuma puts bluntly. “I bet he’ll hate you. Even if he liked you he would probably be too annoyed to respond nicely.”
“What would you know,” Miyadate snaps when he finally got over the shock of Sakuma’s offensive remarks. “You are pathetically single,” he adds before running off to ask Sanazawa for advice.

“…Get a room,” is the only thing that comes out of Miyadate’s mouth when he finally finds Sanada and Nozawa.

A loud scream was heard throughout the jimusho hallway one afternoon, and juniors big and small crowd outside the Mis Snow Man dressing room.
“ ‘You scared me.’ ‘I like you’,” Fujigaya relays as he listens with his ear pressed against the door. “What the hell? Who’s inside, anyway?” he asks as he turns to the other juniors, getting shushed by the whole of their population. They’re all quiet for a moment, until Senga breaks the silence.
“Ah, he got rejected,” Senga quips from beside him, his ear also pressed against the door. There are plenty of ehhs and awws from the crowd, which immediately scattered when Fukasawa walks out of the room, biting his lower lip hard.
Sakuma and some others walk in to comfort Miyadate in the best way that they could.
“I told you it was a bad idea,” Sakuma tells him nonchalantly.

Miyadate doesn’t give up and decides to get Fukka a gift instead. He trudges into a jewelry shop and asks the saleslady to show him the shiniest things they had in their store.
“I hope he’ll like this,” he says aloud when he gets home. He stares at the rhinestone-crested watch and wonders if three months of his savings will be worth Fukka’s happiness.

Contemplating on giving up and hiding from one of the coolest friends he had ever had forever as he danced absentmindedly in front of a mirror, Miyadate’s thoughts are brought back from where it was hiding by a light tug on his shirt. He stops dancing and turns to find Fukasawa blushing and biting his lip.
“About yesterday… I’m really sorry,” Fukka says softly, letting go of the hem of Miyadate’s shirt. “I just…”
“It’s okay.” Miyadate sighs and imagines throwing the shiny watch to the bottom of the sea like rejected men do in movies.
“I lied.”
“Lied?” Miyadate raises an eyebrow. “About what?”
“Me not liking you.” Fukasawa quickly continues to avoid saying anything awkward, “I was just annoyed by your pranks so I thought I’d try one on you too…”
“So… I wasn’t really rejected?” Happiness appears as a grin on Miyadate’s face when Fukasawa nods back. “Really?”
“Really. I’m sorry...”
“I thought you didn’t like it when pranks made people sad.” Miyadate smirks inwardly and adds seriously, “I cried all night, you know.” He laughs at Fukasawa’s open mouth and look of utter guilt on his face, patting the older boy’s head comfortingly as he reassured him that he didn’t really cry at all.
It takes half or more of Miyadate’s stock of courage to push Fukasawa against the wall and try to keep his breathing even at the same time as he cups the other boy’s pink-tinted cheeks.
The first kiss is quick and soft and is quickly followed by a second, deeper one in which Miyadate tilts his head and Fukasawa opens his mouth a little and can’t help letting small sounds escape him when Miyadate’s tongue makes its way to find his own. Fukasawa’s hands grab Miyadate’s shirt almost desperately to deepen the kiss and…
The next ones would have been history if Sanada hadn’t barged into the room singing random Engrish loudly, Nozawa and Ikki following behind him. Sanada gives a loud “AH!”, Ikki squeaks, Nozawa’s mouth hangs open, and Fukasawa frantically tries to push Miyadate away but Miyadate just presses him against the wall.
“You get a room now!” Sanada shouts accusingly. Miyadate laughs and gives Fukasawa a hug instead.

Fukasawa is happy with the watch, and Miyadate would have been so glad if it weren’t for Fukasawa fanboying it too much.
“This is so shiny and pretty!♥” Fukasawa says happily, shoving his wrist under Miyadate’s nose. “So shiny!”
Miyadate thinks he should have gotten the less shinier ones.
