Peter had had a rather busy week. Luckily on Thursday he didn't have any classes, which allowed him to kick back in his room and relax with the latest 9th Wonders.

While Sam had promised Chuck that he'd get Peter to undo whatever he'd done to Chuck's skin, he hadn't made a promise as to when he'd do his convincing, and Sam was still angry enough that he waited until the morning to go upstairs and knock on Peter's door.

"Come in," Peter said. He folded up his comic so he could focus on whoever had come to visit him.

Sam opened the door and gave Peter a small smile as he went inside. "Hey, I wasn't sure if Mac would be here too, so I figured it would be safer to knock and all."

"This is why you're thoughtful," Peter said. He patted the spot next to him on the bed. "You're also way over there, which sucks. Have a seat."

That got a better smile out of Sam, and he went right over to the bed, sitting down close to Peter. "You're right, this is a lot better."

Peter scooted over so that they were closer still. "Even better."

Sam leaned against Peter, finding that to be a good thing to focus on as he tried to figure out what he needed to say. "I need you to do me a favor," he said, "and part of the favor is that you won't ask too much about why I need it."

"If you wanna use handcuffs I'm totally fine with trying it," Peter told him.

Sam's eyes got wide as he turned red, and now he definitely wasn't looking at Peter. "That so wasn't what I was going to ask," he said.

"Oh." Peter shrugged. "Still true."

[psychic_wonder]

"I'll keep that in mind," Sam said, fairly certain that the mental image would stick enough to make that true. "I came to ask you to take the writing off of Chuck."

"Did he apologize?" Peter asked.

[psychic_wonder]

"Um, not in so many words," Sam said casually.

[repeterpetrelli]

"Then what'd he do?" Peter asked.

[psychic_wonder]

"He convinced me that I should ask you to fix him," Sam said. He knew that sounded lame, but he hoped that this might be the one instance in which Peter wouldn't ask too many questions.

"How?" Peter replied, because he was so not on that page.
