Sunday afternoon, NYC, Katz's Deli

No way was Peter leaving the city without a trip down to Katz's. Missing out on that was just wrong.

"But it's a classic!" Teddy joked.

"Sorry, have we met?" Peter replied, grinning. He pretended to talk to a random stranger next to him. "I have no idea who this guy is."

Teddy gave an exaggerated sniffle and spoke a touch louder than necessary. "Peter, are you breaking up with me?"

[repeterpetrelli]

"After finding out you've been faking it all this time? Damn right I am," Peter replied.

Teddy was really bad at keeping a straight face, especially now. He started snickering and took a few moments before continuing the joke. "Well, maybe it's for the better. I need someone who I won't have to fake it with."

[repeterpetrelli]

"Good luck with that," Peter replied. "'cause after all my power is to repeat the abilities of whoever I'm with so..."

"Oh, so the truth comes out," Teddy said. "I'll have you know that I took a very informative workshop yest about this."

[repeterpetrelli]

"Says you," Peter replied. He pretended to be snooty in his disbelief. "I sure haven't seen any evidence of it."

"Maybe because you've never got me in a good enough mood to show you," Teddy replied.

[repeterpetrelli]

Peter pretended to wipe a tear away. "You said you loved me!"

"Lies, all of it!" Teddy replied. "I was only using you for your..." He couldn't think of anything he'd use Peter for. "Um, hair."

[repeterpetrelli]

That got Peter to laugh. "Well now I don't feel so bad about asking you to change into the shape of my exes."

"I never had a problem with that," Teddy said, leaning forward. "I always pictured you as someone else too."

[repeterpetrelli]

"Shame we're breaking up just as I'm getting control enough of my power to help you with the visual," Peter pointed out.

"Maybe when you get better control on your powers, I won't have to fake it and we can be together again," Teddy replied enthusiastically. Because it was a fake relationship worth salvaging.

"Then we can see if the workshop from the Sex Museum helped," He added with a grin.

"I'm only agreeing if you bought souvenirs," Peter said. "Otherwise I'm ordering a hot dog right now and I'll have every intention of making you uncomfortable while I eat it."
