It was finals time, which meant Peter was in his room doing what he always did come this time of the school year: Reading the latest 9th Wonders and debating when he and Nathan should go home and visit their mother.

[Open if you wish. Mostly I amuse myself.]

Brooke was here for one specific reason, and so she was knocking on the doorframe to get his attention.

Peter looked up and smiled. "Hey."

[gobrooke_urself]

"Hey there, superhero," she said, stepping inside. "So guess what."

[repeterpetrelli]

"You're an amazing designer who puts on an awesome show?" Peter replied, by way of his guess.

[gobrooke_urself]

"Ooh, my guess what can wait," she said, beaming. "I take it you approve?"

[repeterpetrelli]

"I very much approve," Peter said. "You did a seriously professional job. That could've been Fashion Week."

[gobrooke_urself]

The smile actually grew. "I'm still kind of not able to believe it went so well. And people liked it and I'm actually getting some hits on the website and that's actual profit."

[repeterpetrelli]

"Any stores come calling yet?" Peter asked.

[gobrooke_urself]

"Not yet, but it's only a matter of time," Brooke said. "Especially since I've been pimping myself out a little. Okay, maybe a lot."

[repeterpetrelli]

"And now we're having one of those conversations that could easily have double meanings," Peter teased.

[gobrooke_urself]

"Actually, that's a really nice segue, because I kind of am," she assured him. "Um. Pimping myself."

[repeterpetrelli]

"I have to pay now?" Peter asked.

[gobrooke_urself]

"Only if your company counts as payment," she said carefully. "So I seem to be roommateless while he's puppysitting, so that leaves me with a room all to myself without anyone interrupting. No way I can pass up that opportunity."

[repeterpetrelli]

A smile touched Peter's lips as he started to get it. "So you're all by yourself. Sounds lonely."

[gobrooke_urself]

"Unless, of course, I can find someone who would like to keep me from being lonely," she said seriously.

[repeterpetrelli]

"Have anybody in mind?" Peter asked. "Because I might know some people."
