416, most of Friday morning and afternoon

Peter had gotten back from the city and was ready to get into the swing of Fandom life again. This was helped in no small part by knowing his brother was in town.

First up was getting unpacked, as well as hopefully handing out some of the presents he'd bought while he was away.

It was sometime around midday when Mac finally made her way back to Fandom, and into 416 with a couple of bags in each hand. She practically dropped them in the doorway.

She gave Peter a big grin, and a "Happy new year!" in greeting.

"Happy new year!" Peter replied. "Need help with those?"

"Wouldn't mind," she said starting to nudge one towards her bed with a foot. "Surprising how much hard work is involved with portals and luggage."

"You have a good holiday?"

Peter grabbed a bag and brought it over to Mac's bed. "Pretty good. Ronan came up to visit, which was nice. How about you?"

"It... was a bit crazy. But that's just your average family Christmas in my house," Mac told him. "My parents can go a bit overboard on festive cheer."

"Parties? Tackyness? Little bit of both?" Peter asked.

[imac_kenzie]

"A lot bit of both." Mac shrugged. "I guess at least they throw their all into it. Better than going all 'Bah Humbug' for the holidays."

"You know, I wouldn't mind a tacky Christmas. I should try that out sometime." Peter went over to his desk. "Speaking of reasons to celebrate, a little bird told me it might be your birthday today?"

Mac smiled, and nodded as she picked up a bag and dropped it on the end of her bed. "You're very sneaky," she remarked. "Quite impressive with the birthday researchy skills."

"Sneaky? Me?" Peter pretended to look innocent. He then picked up a wrapped gift and tossed it over to her. "Here. Merry Christmas, happy birthday, and hopefully you don't have one already."

"Oh no, never," Mac agreed, laughing as she took the box.

Her eyes kind of glazed over when she saw what it was, as they do when it comes to her and technology. "Oh, pretty," she said. "So pretty. This is never leaving my side. Ever."

She finally tore her eyes away from it and turned back to Peter with a big grin. "It's amazing. Thank you!"

"You're welcome," Peter said. "Consider it my way of saying thanks for being such an awesome roomie."

"You do that all the time by surprising me with coffee," Mac pointed out. "So really, I think you've got this all the wrong way around."

"You going to be in the library again this semester?" Peter asked. "Because I can keep it up."

[imac_kenzie]

"Unless they decide to kick me out," Mac replied, giving a little nod. "Funnily enough, I don't really mind spending half my weekend in there. That probably adds a bit to my geek status."

[repeterpetrelli]

"Little bit," Peter said. "Don't worry, I'll still hang out with you."
