It's snowing outside.
In June.
Billy hates the cold. He claims he's too skinny to deal with it, which isn't exactly true, but the point remains. So he hasn't actually risen from the bed; he's sort of a lump in the middle of it. A lump covered in a white comforter.

Everything seems to have come to a halt, even more quiet and still than usual with the snow falling, and Teddy can only occupy himself for so long without gravitating back to wherever Billy is.

Heatseeker that he is, Billy doesn't open the comforter right away. Instead he shifts, perfectly aware of how he probably looks like an idiot, to wrap around Teddy.
"How is this even possible," he asks from inside his safe haven, that isn't even that warm.

"It's the City?"
Frankly, they should have expected it. Teddy reaches out to wrap himself around Billy over the blankets and yawns a little. It's cloudy out and doesn't really feel like day time.

Billy finally opens a hole in his covers and yanks on Teddy's arm. "Get in here," he says, as if Teddy is his own personal space heater, which in a way he is. Besides it gives him an excuse to cuddle.
"This blows, man," he says, still tugging. "Don't we get enough snow in the winter?"

As if Teddy hadn't just asked to be let in. Oh well, the end result is the same. He lets himself under the covers and wraps around his chilly boyfriend. Excuses to cuddle are always good, not that Ted really needs them.
"We should get a summer day in the middle of winter to make up for it."

Billy wiggles a little, at first, to get good and comfortable in Teddy's arms. He then presses his cold nose against the warm skin behind Teddy's ear. "Mmm, better," he says, his lips curving into a smile.
"Yeah well a day of summer in the winter doesn't make things warmer now," he pouts, but he's still smiling.

Billy tangles their legs; maybe he wouldn't be so cold if he put on some jeans, but he wasn't exactly in the mood to leave the big, warm bed. He prods Teddy's chest with a finger.
"That's a lie," he says. "If I was an old woman you would find no part of me attractive."

Yes, but then Ted wouldn't get a squirming armful of his boyfriend, which is exactly what he has now. Billy finally finds a comfortable position in Teddy's arms and he finally lies still.
"Yeah but then you'd be all alone and mopey and I would be an old lady who is probably scamming on you whenever I go into the Turnabout. Just saying."

He has a certain instinctive reaction to squirming armful of boyfriend in bed, but he keeps it to himself. Playing with Billy's hair and joking around is enough.
"That's probably true. I never said it would be better if you were an old lady."

Billy pokes his nose into Teddy's shoulder. "You probably would. You would probably find it flattering or something. I accuse you." He's teasing, and finally he lets out a long breath. "But you're warm so you can't go anywhere."

Billy's breath is warm against his skin, at least. "There's no harm in a little old lady flirting with me. My warmth is the only good thing about me?"
It's like being a kid again and hiding under the blankets. They have a whole little world to themselves. Only the difference is, as a kid he didn't have somebody else to hide with him.

Billy relaxes, not just a little, but a lot. "No, not the only good thing." He presses a kiss against Teddy's shoulder, after a moment of thought. "There are a lot of good things about you."
Maybe it's the cold that makes Billy far more malleable when he's warm, because he doesn't feel snarky just that moment.
With the windows closed it's not really that bad, as far as Teddy is concerned, and he's still only wearing a t-shirt and sweats on his day off.

The lump gets a bigger lump on top of it.
"Knock knock let me in."

"You're such an old woman," he teases, more than comfortable himself. He's bulked up a little bit more than normal since it seems to help.
