[And there's a blue light, and Billy is standing behind the counter]

It says something that Ted doesn't react for a moment, carefully placing the china from the last paton's seat onto a tray and straightening before bringing it over to the counter. That's when Billy gets his big, bright smile. The place is blissfully empty, the door closed and locked, but the lights still on and dim and the classical music playing in the background. Quite romantic, really, when you take Teddy's tuxedo into account.

"Hey, Bill."

It has never really made sense to Billy as to why a coffee shop makes it's employees wear a tux, but when he sees Teddy in it his mouth goes a little dry all the same, despite the fact that he's seen this before and it's no great shock to his system. It's just his usual reaction, and he feels underdressed in jeans and a t-shirt.

"Hey," he replied. "It seems pretty quiet," he adds after a moment, looking around. He gives Teddy a smile that almost matches the one he received.

Teddy doesn't notice it any more, personally, any more than he would notice anything else he wears. The shop was about quality and the staff had to blend in with the antique, stylish atmosphere. Most of their customers don't come in wearing jeans and a t-shirt, but there were a few.

"You're the last customer of the night."

He sets the tray down on the counter and comes around to greet his boyfriend with a kiss on the cheek.

"You're going to serve the me the coffee that managed to survive?" Billy says, with a little laugh. He accepts the kiss to the cheek and returns it, fondly. If there had been one other person, Billy probably would have hesitated, but as they were alone, he doesn't have a problem.

"Anyway, you said you needed help with cleaning, what needs to be done," he asks, rolling up his metaphorical sleeves.
