As the only person here who has probably actually written fanfiction, I feel the need to tell you people a few important things about the hobby.

First thing's first, don't write about real people. I mean do you want fanfiction written about yourself (the correct answer to this query is no. Let me tell you, people speculating about your love life with your boyfriend isn't nearly as fun as it may sound, and it doesn't even sound all that fun to begin with)? It's one thing to write about Captain Kirk and Spock enjoying a tussle, it's another to talk about, I don't know, the Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver.

Please don't talk about the Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver. Like, together. In the Biblical sense. In the Lot and his daughters sense, not in the respectful Moses and Miriam sense. Thanks.

Second thing: beta, beta, beta. I feel I can't stress this enough. Let someone read it. Please, for the love of god, don't let your bagels turn to beagles or your clothes turn to cloths.

Finally, remember to always utilize your warnings.

I beg you.

For the sake of my eyeballs.
