(no subject)
No sooner had I posted my last entry that my mother called to let me know that my dad is in Amman, Jordan. This is a good thing because they are traveling back to the U.S., but were delayed in Baghdad for a while due to a sandstorm. It's much better to be in Amman, then in Baghdad. They now have about 31 hours until their flight out of Amman to Amsterdam. Then they will be in Amsterdam for about 5 hours, then fly to Chicago. Sigh. Amidst the sadness of Sam's death comes the comfort that my dad is out of immediate danger. It's been an emotional day. I think it's time for pizza.
