I was in what was officially a Subway but seemed to be mostly functioning as an Italian restaurant. I ordered spaghetti bolognese and a can of diet coke and waited for it, and the woman passed me a small amount of sauce in a plastic cup and then got to paying attention to other customers. I stood by the counter trying to catch her attention and remind her what I'd ordered, but she was desperate for help and had become convinced that what i really wanted was to work there, and she was so excited about it *g* Eventually I convinced her that I just wanted my order corrected, but by then there was spaghetti so I got bolognese sauce in a burger bun.
It became apparent that the world was being taken over by lots of different groups of monks, and so that they didn't kill me, I decided to become one, so I joined a group that wore black, and each seemed to be in pairs. We ran into a group of my friends, and most of them ran away, but we managed to catch Mark (
Ivywag), and he was given to me as my novice. As a result he had to hold me by the shoulders and follow me everywhere. If he didn't behave monkly I had to elbow him or stamp on his feet, but I was nice to him, and we kept joking about. Eventually, this merriness spread to the rest of our Order, and we danced everywhere and our robes changed colour every five minutes. Eventually, while our robes were bright orange, we came across another group of monks and they were very jealous of our merriment so we recruited them to our order as novices, so they had to hang on behind those who didn't have one yet.
Shortly after that we came to a great meeting of monkly orders, and it was likie a concert. It turned out that our merriness had started a trend and now everybody was like it. In fact, relatives of the monks were invited to the concert, and Mark sang a solo, playing along with his guitar/bassy thing (I forget what he plays), and his mother and little ten year old brother were watching near me. I'd met his younger brother before...I think the same random kid had appeared as somebody else's brother in one of my dreams. Anyway, Mark sang very well, and everybody was all happy, and we all decided not to be monks any more. We all got off the boat we were suddenly on (I'm bog with the boats lately O_o), and then I woke up.
Nanny says the monks have to come and get the mole that has taken residence in our garden...O_O. Surreal.
