Returned from CoCo in one piece. It was lovely. Roommate was lovely. Dresses were lovely! hehehe. Seriously though, overall I had a great time. I felt like I really got some good info out of the classes. One in particular felt like someone turned on a lightbulb in my head regarding some men's clothing I have had in mind for my hubby. So excited. Meeting people though was the best. Jenn Thompson of Festive Attyre and Kendra of Demodecouture were beyond incredibly gracious. I have looked up to both of them for years and it was wonderful to know that they are truly the kind people I have always hoped they were. In all actuality, most people were very understanding of my lack of social skills. Thank Buddakrishnachrist. And despite feeling like I was in subpar costumes (hey anyone would feel that way standing next to
the_aristocrat) quite a few people really liked what I was wearing. In fact the best part of the whole weekend was when a girl came up to me while I was in my "Red Ed" aka the Edwardian LACMA dress, and told me that she loved my dress and that it was her favorite from the book Fashioning Fashion. To have someone actually know what you are going for with an outfit is just such an amazingly comforting thing.
Anyway, more to report later. For now I have to get to bed. Literally flew home and went to work. I am one tired chicklet.
