RDA Panel Day 1

Sep 20, 2008 21:17

Well, here is day one of the RDA panels. These pics did not come out so well. I like to blame the lighting! ;) I had to turn the ISO up so there is quite a bit of noise and if he moved, the pics are a bit blurry. I included some of the blurry pics because he was just so damn cute in them!

Some of them were overexposed and I tried to fix them in photoshop, that is why they may all not have the same ‘look’ to them.

Unfortunately, I was futzing with my camera when he first came out.

At this point PW was talking about one of his ‘cruises’ where the engine broke down in Antarctica. . . .

He said they needed MacGyver to fix it. . .

He has some of the greatest facial expressions!

Right about here I must have changed lenses. The pics get a little clearer and closer!

Okay, this is when he starts talking with the very young kid (maybe 2?) in the audience. I don’t remember it precisely but the exchange goes something like this. . . .

The young girl says something unintelligible. RDA says: What’s that baby?

She says something back that I did not catch.

RDA says back to her: It’s a ??????

In a very loud, clear voice, as though he is an idiot, she replies: It’s an octopus!

RDA: Of course it is!

(I don't remember this part but I was told...
She said something about "pirates"
RDA: I absolutely agree with you!
Then a lunch box was held up that had pirates on it.)

Seconds later, the kid screams and starts to cry.
PW says: Richard has such a way with the ladies!

OMG, is he cute or what??

PW even looks at him with adoring eyes!

Someone said he looked a little Ernest Pratt-ish here!

I’m gonna put this coffee cup down. . . .

And I’m done!

Whew! And that was the day 1 RDA panel.

Day 2 and 3 are a bit higher quality so hopefully, they won’t need as much tweaking and I can post them a bit quicker.
