I'd have to say The Green Mile. As much as I hate criminals, this movie made me sympathize with them. It also made me realize that a lot of prison/death row guards can be assholes and have even less of a heart than the criminals themselves. To those of you have seen the film (or read the book), I'm referring to the guy (forget the character's name) who doesn't wet the sponge. He was just pure evil. Even worse than the actual criminals. & Let me just say that I am 100% against capital punishment and was before I saw this movie so that didn't change. This movie is great - definitely recommend it to anyone. It is beautifully written by Stephen King and superbly acted by Tom Hanks, Michael Duncan, David Morse and Barry Pepper.
