2. A ton of people are going to say this, but... well, first of all, she comes back to life in the show, too. And there have been many, many far cheesier renditions of that scene than Rosario's. (Had you seen the show before you saw the movie? Not judging, just curious.) IMO, hers was actually pretty low on the cheesiness spectrum. In addition -- and the more important point -- the power that lies within the shows message is there *because* Mimi lives. If she died, it would be a completely different show. If she died, many of the points the show spends most of its time making would be invalidated by the last scene. The fact that Mimi doesn't come back to life doesn't take away the power or the poignancy; it changes the emotional reaction you have.
3. My reaction to people who say they feel guity when they hear Book of Endings is usually "well, if you feel targeted, then yeah, that song IS about you." But you seem really nice and level-headed, despite your age. If you know you have nothing to feel guilty for, then no worries.
