So I am now, officially, Mrs. Boo. Or, if you want to be technical about it, Mrs. Cara Hoglund Tadewald.
The wedding and reception was great. It had many oddities, which I'm labeling "stories": The chairs and tables were from Mike's funeral home workplace; we had a non-alcoholic open tab at the taqueria next door (which went over smashingly); my cat, Little Boo, decided at the last minute to be my flower girl and walked in front of my dad and I down the aisle; I had the guys join in the bouquet tossing, and of course Ted caught it (sorry, Anne and Katie); Eric decided to take the occasion to completely shave all the hair off of his head (excepting the eyebrows); Mike decided to play with the dry ice from the cooler and blew up his ice tea bottle in the empty lot next door ("Mike, are you playing with dry ice again?" "No" "He's lying to you already, Cara!"); We did a totally impromptu photo op at the ocean cliff next to the city dump with Kelly and Ted photoging, and of course I almost fell into the ocean; we did a round of toasts using Jenna's large Happy Horn and the last of our homemade mead; and I got rorally burned for the first time in years ("What? Sun in Pacifica?").
The event was wonderful. I can't say enough about it, actually. For a wonderful write-up, see bright_valkyrie's posting. It was at her house :)
A HUGE thank you to everybody who attended--it was so great to see freinds from several arenas plus both of our families in one place, participating in OUR WEDDING. I think I'm gonna cry now.
Off to Yosemite.
