Lovely summer weekend

I've been complaining about summer because it's so hot and I can't wait for school to start and blah blah blah, but this weekend was really great and I'm glad it made me more appreciative of summer.

First of all, Friday was a wretched day. It's not that anything really bad happened, but it was just really stressful. state came for inspection at work and everyone had been stressing for weeks about it. Of course we passed with flying colors and they even told Laurie that they were really impressed. I was in a good mood because inspection went well but then one of my kids threw up all over the place and I had to deal with that which was frustrating. I felt really bad because I was being less than compassionate to him, but it's only because Doris disappeared for like 5 minutes to find something and I had to deal with him, plus I had a kid on the changing table, and 5 other kids that were trying to play in his throw up. It was really annoying and I felt really bad but once we got things under control I held him and stuff. I actually felt really guilty because I had to wake him up from his nap because nap time had been over for 40 minutes, and he wouldn't wake up so I kind of just picked him up and put him on the changing table to do his diaper, and he was crying and everything and then when I put him down he threw up. I know it would've happened whether I woke him or not but I still felt so bad because if I'd known he was sick I would have let him sleep. But anyway, that was my day and I worked 9 and a half hours and was exhausted, but I was so stressed out that I wanted to go out and have fun, so I called Jackie. We had intended to go to Sonar but we wanted to get food first so we went to Olive Garden in White Marsh and had this great waiter named Casey and he gave us free dessert. He wasn't cute or anything but he was really nice and he obviously liked us. After dinner we were so tired that we just skipped sonar and I went home and fell asleep.

Saturday was a great day. I met my aunts for lunch and we got deli from santonis. It was really good and it was nice to spend some time with them because I never get to see them. After that I went to my parents house for a little while and then went out with Jackie. We saw bewitched which kind of sucked BUT I did see an official preview for RENT which comes out on November 11th (mark your calenders!) and I got so excited that I screamed. Not loudly or anything... just excitedly. Anyway, after the movie we went to the pour house for coffee and some live music. It was great and we ended up staying and playing cards and checkers and just listening to the music for almost 2 hours. After that we went for a night walk on Main street. Later I went back to my apartment and then went over to Noah's cause Lindsay and Kevin were there. At first it was just the 4 of us, and then Scotty and Jason came home and they were with Dawn and Catherine. We all just sat around and stuff but it was really fun. Later everyone but me, kevin, and noah left to go to someones house, so the three of us stayed at Noah's and played basketball in their backyard. It was really late (2am) but it was such a nice night. While we were playing Brian came home so he played with us for a little bit. I left around 3 and went home and had a bagel and went downstairs for 20 minutes or so. Then I went to bed.

Today was super fun. I went to the science center with my dad to see the Titanic exhibit. It had all these artifacts that were recovered from the titanic and it was really cool to see how in tact some of these things were. I mean, obviously they were cleaned but still. There were toothbrushes and dishes that looked like they had just been bought a couple of months ago (with the exception of course that they were from 1914 and didn't look like anything thats around now). But anyway, it was really cool and they made it so that you were a passenger on the titanic. They give you a boarding pass and it has the name and info of someone that was actually on the real titanic, and then at then end of the exhibit you look up your person to see if you lived or died. It was kind of disturbing actually, but me and my dad both survived. At first it didn't hit me how weird it all was because I forgot that the person on my card was an actual titanic passenger, but then when I looked at all the names of the people who didn't survive and realized that it was all real, it kind of freaked me out. Anyway, we also saw a documentary about the titanic at the imax, and we went to the planetarium. It was a really great day!

Tonight was pretty quiet. Lindsay and I went grocery shopping and rented the movie "Monster" which was incredible. That's pretty much it.
