(no subject)
Last night I interpreted at a bat-mitzvah. It was good. I made a couple mistakes in terms of things that I shouldn't have known. The only thing that I didn't like were that there were a number of people there (as guests) who were interpreters and/or owned interpreting agencies. That made me a little nervous, but, it kind of actually ended up working out for me. So, yeah. It was exciting. I did a lot more interpreting than I had expected, but, that was good. ANd I got crucially jipped in terms of pay, but, I don't really care. The experience was worth it.
Yesterday we had the first hall meeting. It was damn exciting! Usually I look forward to working on the hall and seeing our progress and watching everyone have fun with it. I think that our hall is gonna be so good this time, I just can't wait to see it all done and up. I want it to be Oct. 16 so that I can see the end result. It's gonna be hott. And my part in the hall? I can't say here, but, I'm psyched. I actually think the float might come together this year too. And we did some dumpster hopping, which I believe is going to be continued today. The van is full of who-knows-what that i'm thrilled about!
Oh! and yesterday was sr. pics. which sucked. ugh.
