Hey all
It seems like it's been a million years since i've visited livejournal. Welp, here i am BORED off my ass in the Charlotte, NC airport, sitting at the FOX sports bar. I had a Hail Mary (bloody mary) and the most god awful buffalo chicken salad ever. I think i may be a little tipsy due to that bloody mary....EEK.
For some ODD reason while we were in the air, a couple minutes from descending, I could NOT pop my ears for the life of me. This lasted until right now....which, i STILL can't pop my ears. Although my hearing is SLOWLY returning to me, i'm finding that the sensation between my ears is that of intense pressure...it feels like i have some kind of force field preventing my ears from releasing the pressure. ARGH! its so uncomfortable and before we landed, i was actually getting shooting pains in my left ear. It's 9:43 now and my flight doesnt leave for another 50 minutes.
En route i will be traveling to Chattanooga, Tennessee, where I will be working at the ZLB Plasma center until friday at 4. I will be assisting, if not, solely training their staff on how to setup/disconnect the PCS2 machines in which we use, and possibly phlebotomy. My manager told me that their supervisors main and sole tasks are taking care of handling peoples breaks. I laugh at this because I am a supervisor and practically run the center handling donor complaints, supervising my donor room staff making sure they are in compliance and following proceedure. She then mentioned that they get paid the same amt. i do....this is not laugh-worthy.
OOOkay, so after i arrive in Chattanoogie, next thing on my itinerary is to pick up my rental car, which i thought i was inelligeble to drive since i'm only 21, but with my center's policy, I qualify. I hope its a convertible ;) Then i have to drive to the Hilton on the river, which is 5 mins away from the center, but the hotel is like 20 mins. away from the airport....in a state that i don't have familiarity with.....ESPECIALLY driving in.
Wish me luck ladies and gents, i'm off to my next terminal to catch my flight.
