Carol McCormick

One of the most touching scenes for me to ever write in "Simple and Clean" was in chapter 5, "When Skies are Grey" with Carol singing to Kenny on their way to Denver at the end of the chapter. I've touched on that idea later on, for reasons I shall not disclose, but writing Carol was something I absolutely loved. I think she is among my favorite characters, and Kevin is up there as well.

But this is kinda silly; I had a specific way I heard the song "You Are My Sunshine". Honestly, I heard it sung in a movie and I don't remember which one, otherwise I would have linked that. So what I did was... *drum roll* record myself singing how I heard it. Which is really awkward because a) that's really personal and b) I'm not too happy with the quality. But I lost my voice shortly after because I went to a concert two days ago and it still hasn't fully returned (yaaaay). So I can't and won't be redoing it.

But here is that little recording deal. It's not necessarily the voice that matters, but the way it's sung, because I tried to make it sound like how Carol would have, or how I imagined her singing it.
